This loss hopefully highlights deficiencies we’ve had all seasons that we can honestly address. We can’t hide behind “they just win!” as an excuse for poor play

I said that about 4-5 games back when Hagans was benched most of a game. Almost instantly the offense found ways to score with Maxey and Quickley running point. This team against strong big men in the NCAA tournament is going to get killed.

Why does Cal get stuck on certain players? He would play Hagans if he had 10 turnovers and 0 points. He did the same with with Diallo. He also played Whitney too much at the beginning of the season. He always does it to the detriment of the team.

Rick Barnes knows how to defend Cal’s nothing offense in the half court. But then any decent coach does.

Keep Cats out of transition and the game gets pretty simple. UT was getting wide open shots but Cats struggled to get a decent look.

But hey, ever onward. Cats will play better at Florida. Good on the road.
