I'm surprised Tipton didn't ask Ware if he was secretly happy that TyTy was injured so he could get more playing time.......
The way Bruiser was talking about guys being ready to take advantage of opportunities made it sound to me like both are out and he's urging other guys to step up.
I think we all know they are out. The question that will really determine things is how long?
I certainly expect TyTy to be out but thought there might be a chance for Toppin to return. Tomorrow will be one week since he got hurt.
I believe we all knew Saturday after TyTy's injury and how it went down TyTy would probably be out Tuesday night. I was hoping at least we would hear that Toppin would be ready to go tomorrow night.
I am sure the UK team has left for Knoxville and we will probably not know until after the Morning Shoot tomorrow to see how TyTy is doing. Mintz is going to have to step it up and play like he has over the last 4 games. Mintz has averaged 13ppg. going 11/22 from 3 for 50% in last 4 games. I am hoping we have Toppin back with the way he played in those 5-6 minutes vs. South Carolina scoring 10 points. We could really use both Toppin and TyTy but if we have at least Toppin it might not be as bad as having both out vs. UT.

I think we are in trouble in this one, I’m sure they’re pissed about last game. We’ve struggled down there a lot over the years and without a couple big pieces it’s an uphill climb. I’m interested to see the line
I don't know, but Tennessee just doesn't impress me. I don't know if it is that they don't impress me, or I have hated them for so long that I think that they suck whether they suck or not. I have hated them ever sense Jimmy Cornwall, and Howard Bane beat Riley, Dampier, Don't know how to spell Thad's last name, so I will just say Thad, Conley, and Kron. Better known as Rupp's Runts. I loved that team.
The Runts team did to my Pops what the '15 Wisky loss did for a lot of modern fans: ripped his heart out; then when Issel's senior yr. team failed to make the Final 4 shortly after? He was done getting too vested...he became a check the score as he passed the t.v. type fan. Never scheduled around a game after that. Pitino and the Unforgettables brought him back somewhat for the 90's run, but he's been apathetic in his fandom since then, and never to the level he was with the Runts
UK 76 UT 72 without Ty Ty and Toppin. A beat down if Ty Ty plays.
If I'm reading it right TN is a 1 point favorite, at least on one site. But I'm not confident I understand how to read those lines. The one I saw had TN -1. I thought that meant that TN was a one-point favorite. If that's wrong, please board don't freak out because I admitted that I might not understand it correctly.
We just have to want it more than them and the talent will take care of the rest. Wanting it more than us and refs are the two things they are hoping for.
Anybody who has ever been to a UK game in Knoxville will,know UK has a huge test in front of them, strange things happen in games we play there over the years. Not quite as bad now as when we had to play em in that haunted barn Stokley but I never feel good about a game played there.I have seen some great UK teams lose there.
We still have big O down low dominating, wheeler quarterbacking, Grady and Mintz. We should still win. Will be hard game
I'm looking forward to the team showing up and doing their best to destroy another opponent in their own gym
Hasn't Toppin been listed as day to day for like a week now?
These wins are important right now since we are a fringe 1 seed. I hate we keep having these injuries that put our backs against a wall.
Hope these guys are ready to fight. Tyty's presence on the court alone changes the way teams have to guard us. We need the usual production from Oscar & Grady and then Mintz and Keion need to have big games.
