I can play a defense where Shaq always looks bad on offense. If you don't have to guard a guy outside the FT line, he should never score on you. Its a tribute to Shaq he scores as much as he does.

You know something...

Tulsa does not know how to play 3 point defense.... specifically... they still don't know how to get body on the shooter (without fouling). Tom Thibbideoux (spelling? of the Chicago Bulls was a master teaching this). You have to get body on the shooter to make them feel you (in addition to the hand in the face).

Tulsa just reaches out with the arm and hand --- and allow the shooter to catch and release in space. BRUTAL TECHNIQUE and doesn't work.

Went man. Good move especially against #5 who is killing the zone.

I hope we stay man the rest of the game. Their only good slasher, McMurray (0), went to the locker room in a lot of pain. Suspect he's done for the day.

Who would have thought as freshmen that Swanny would be significantly better than Dre by their senior year.

Brandon has always just had to work harder...less naturally gifted and has that ectomorph physique that's hard to beef up.

Morillo is now 12/19 (63%) in three career games against TU and 52/193 (27%) in 57 games against everyone else.

Great effort from Swanny, also getting in the heads of undisciplined USF.

TX
Agree. Swanny another one like Shaq. Getting tons out of his ability. We are talking about a 6'10" guy who struggles to dunk in game situations and has had probably 30 of his shots blocked this season. Which would seems almost impossible for a guy that size who shoots mostly layups. Yet he's found a way to make huge contributions this year. Mainly because he works constantly. Every time down the court. That's what this team is about. Working to get the most our of your ability.

Perry fouled out on Technical, which I though TU was allowed to pick the shooter?

TX
Only an injury does the opposing team get to choose the shooter from who is left in the floor. TBH, not sure I have ever seen a guy who got fouled in the act of shooting subsequently get disqualified by committing his 5th foul on a T before shooting his FTs

Me neither, but makes sense the opp team get to pick the shooter to carry out the tech foul penalty. Interesting scenario.

My sister and fam are coming to visit us for the first time next weekend.

Not sure at what point I should mention the TU game at 8pm Friday night. Priorities.

Although TU hoops is batting 1.000 in games I don't watch real time this season...
