I think USC will do just about what Nebber did when they joined. Fall flat on their face.

I mean, USC won’t be last place bad like Nebber has been ever since they’ve joined but USC will be about like a team that loses Tulane type of caliber team.

USC will be top tier…They will step their game up defensively .
I worry about whether or not we are going to step our game up, I hope so

FYI: Little Tulane beat the mighty Trojans with a stirring comeback in the final five minutes. The Trojans fumbled a kickoff out of bounds at their own one yard line (remember when Parker committed a similar mistake in an Iowa bowl game a few years ago?), setting up a TCU safety. Then the Green Wave washed their way down the field needing only a TD and a PAT to win. And they got both, scoring with less than 10 seconds to play. It was beautiful. Congrats to Tulane for its fabulous comeback against one of the most storied programs in all of college football.

And LOL at USC.

I agree USC will be top tier with OSU, Mich, and PSU while UCLA could be second tier with Wisc, MSU, Iowa. Lincoln Riley has been a HC for 6 years winning 12 games 3 times 11 and 10 in non covid years.

Can Iowa step up our game? I hope so but our last losing year was 2012 and we have had a 12 win season, 2 10 win seasons, and a 9 win season since then. The last 5 non covid years we have averaged 9 wins a season. Our previous HOF coach after his first two losing seasons and excluding his last season had 4 non-winning seasons in 17 years 1989, 1992, 1993. and 1994. No knock on Hayden, my point is we may very well be as good as it gets. We have the second smallest state population wise and one with another power five school to recruit against. And unlike Hayden's years ISU has good football teams generally and recruits well.

yea... USC is going to dominate in the Big Ten... they haven't had a losing season since 2021

Iowa, on the other hand... just had a losing season in 2012

Lincoln Riley has been at USC one year. He has, while HC at Oklahoma and USC in non covid years won 10 games 1, 11, games1 and 12 games 3 times. He has never finished out of the top 12? in the AP poll. That does not mean that he will dominate the Big 10 as OSU can say the same and Mich has stepped up the last two years, while PSU is consistently good. Chip Kelly seams to have turned around UCLA as they won 8 last year and 9 this year.

Can we beat them sure, but it sure does not appear the same as when we added Maryland and Rutgers to our schedule.
