We rode the metro from culver city. There were definitely some characters. I expect it to be mostly football fans heading west after the game.

My train to campus from Santa Monica couldn’t have been easier. No sketchy people, besides the one man playing a guitar that had no strings,

Other than that…great . At midnight though, who knows lol

Avoid the light rail! The Mrs. and I decided to be locals and take the light rail from LA live to USC… no bueno. Had a crazy guy all face tatted up with a piece in his waistband about three feet from me. Got out and Ubered immediately.
Soft! Kidding!!!!!!!

The rail is no worse than the subways in NYC. Interesting characters here and there, but 99 percent of the riders are just regular folks.

I would say this was more than just an interesting character. It was likely a Blood (all
red with the exception of the jeans) and open carrying in a state where that’s a no no. This guy was a menace. Scary stuff and I’ve worked in Bed Sty and spent plenty of time in the South Bronx with family growing up. It was a tense situation. My LA train days are over.

Off topic. For those of you who stayed at the Hilton Santa Monica, how did you like it or dislike it? Also, what made you pick that hotel? Thanks in advance.

Didn’t stay there, but Santa Monica is the nicest place to stay in the LA area. And convenient to the stadium via MetroRail.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Santa Monica, Casa Del Mar is the spot.

Clean and well designed. Great location. 2 blocks from Metro. A few blocks to the beach/hiking/bike trails. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping.

Out here with my son, a friend and his son. We’re at the Rams game tonight. Sofi Stadium is like nothing I’ve ever seen - incredible place.

A nice relaxing evening before whatever we’ll witness tomorrow at the Coliseum.

Oh.. and sitting in 105A tomorrow.
Seeing SoFi makes one appreciate what a piece of junk other stadiums like MetLife and Levis are given the cost paid to build each.

It was fine. Close to Metro (no issues to / from game) and close to restaurants along the water. Would stay here again.

Disagree. We thought it was much nicer out in North Hollywood where we stayed. The Santa Monica Pier was a freak show.

Had no problem going, a few homeless people in the way back but no one bothered anyone. Way easier, & cheaper, than driving or taking an Uber

Santa Monica Hilton was great. Still there. It was very convenient to everything in SM. 3rd st pedestrian mall was super nice. Lots of restaurants all around. Watched the sunset tonight. We selected due to ease of Metro to the game ( no issues and $1.75 each way, compared to an Uber ). Today we biked along the coast, all the way to Manhattan Beach pier and back. Beautiful ride !

Weak. Shelby took frequent advantage of the light rail. Very convenient and cheap.

There is a historic trailer park community near the Getty Villa that is completely destroyed. Lots of homes packed into the hills above the PCH that are vulnerable.

Hope everyone in the LA area is doing OK. @PatrickRU92 , @Caliknight and any others I forgot. Scary fire:

thanks for asking so far we're doing good. There is a fire about 7 miles away from me but it would take a lot for it to get here. Still with the crazy winds (which as of now are thankfully NOT pushing the fire in my direction) I'm not breathing any sighs of relief just yet and still worried about another fire popping up somewhere closer. Winds are just crazy but should die some this afternoon. Seeing several of the tanker planes in the air so thats a good sign too.

Pacific Palisades appears to be absolutely decimated which is absolutely crazy to even think about.
