How can you be located where they are and be that bad? It boggles the mind.

I can only assume USC didn't fire that guy because they didn't get any bites on a quality replacement but damn. You wanna talk about a luxury car being left to rot with that program...

Emmitt Smiths son going to Stanford. Always liked Emmitt. Even though he tricked us on signing day many years ago. LOL

What's crazy is that the talks of firing him will continue onto next year as well. They could very well end up in a similar situation to our mess from the past 5 years.

9 of USC's 11 commits are offensive and defensive linemen, and 1 is a kicker. With all the talent out there, how do you now have any recruits at the skill positions, other than one 3-star WR?

It is crazy. Usc own administration is killing the program. Who does that sound like? Didn't know Perlman became the chancellor at USC....

Sort of nuts to think that both Emmit Smith's and Barry Sanders's sons enrolled to play ball at Stanford. Sanders's kid transferred to OSU, but still interesting.

Up until a couple of weeks ago most people thought USC's coach was going to get fired. Chip is a lazy recruiter and if he doesn't turn things around quickly he'll be collecting his millions once again to not coach.

USC is officially in their "down swing" Although I think they have been for 10 years now.

2 four stars combined for both schools? USC is currently #73 in the rankings?? All that California talent heading out of state. :eek:Laughing https://n.rivals.com/team_rankings/2020/all-teams/football

I left LA in early 2007, and have no desire to visit except for my Mother-In-Law (who is awesome!). I would see her then head north or south in a jiffy on an extended trip.

More crowded, more people, more unaffordable.

But still...

If I remember correctly they have lots of RFr and true Fr at the skill positions.

that is exactly why it’s taking Frost longer then 3, maybe even 4 years to get us rebuilt and going again. It may very well be year 5 before we are hitting 8-4 to 10-2 range. He literally had to restock our talent from the ground up. When Frost was hired, the RS sophomores up to Seniors probably wouldn’t start on another decent power 5 team outside Ozigbo, Stan Morgan Jr, JD Speilman and maybe a couple others. Frost has to rely on true freshmen right out of the gates and that always spells trouble for any team with any Head Coach.

Whoevers the next coach, it wont take long at all.
I predict when it happens, and he's a great coach, usc has top 5 classes year one.

I hear ya. I too spent just under 20 years in California and miss it like another hole in my head. For some reason, California "does" have beautiful women everywhere. I'll give them that. But Moon-beam and the other snowflakes there has them going bankrupt and with total daily disaster. Business leaders leaving California by the boatload endlessly. God help them.

Yep, they're essentially just a big bucket of sh*t. The one good thing about living there awhile is that when you do pull your head out of your *** and return to the midwest......you'll appreciate the midwest way, wayyyyyyy more then ever before.

Meh. You didn't have $250k a year to blow on living expenses.

Seattle, San Fran, LA, Chicago, NYC, etc all GREAT CITIES but ya better have the cash to spend, or GTFO.

Florida is Dixieland, strangely affordable everywhere.

Which is why people are flocking here, to die on a sandbar with no estate taxes!!!

Heh, as you know, California taxes the living hell on their own middle-class working people. Just another big reason people are bailing out of there as fast as they can. They've got problems in River City.

More & more folks daily deciding to GTFO.

Not arguing with that.

No middle or lower class lifestyle worth living there, unless you are in the parts of Cali that are naturally beautiful and rural.

West Coast till I die though, the best coast. Still civilized. Not like this mess of humanity in Florida. Head on a swivel, charlatans everywhere.

Thank God I am ownership...GBR

If ever Ucla gets a great coach, that person might wake up the so called sleeping giant. Just don't see that happening for awhile. usc will one day be on the upswing again, and when they do, they could go Godzilla for quite a few years. Problem is, Pete Carroll's don't come around too often.

Yep .. Kelly’s time is up, Oregon was his high point. It’s like the chicken or the egg.

A lot of people give him credit for building Oregon. Oregon was good and winning Pac10 titles before Chip arrived. They are still winning and recruiting at a high level.

The Chipper on the other hand. Has had one object failure after another since. I’m an Eagles fan, he was a miserable man that no one liked inside of NovaCare! Horrible game prep, and talent evaluator and was to stubborn to be a effective Gameday coach.

I’d never let my kids play for a coach like him. So maybe parents are seeing UCLA under the little troll isn’t Oregon and not worth putting up with his crap.

USC - everyone knows they are a mess with that administration. Keeping Helton around is nothing but flushing another year down the toilet.

Couldn’t happen to a better state though.

Maybe they should have “Spirit girls” do the recruit hosting, it could be what’s missing in their recruiting now days.

I would last 2-3 months as HC at either school, with all the talent down there. Out because the girls are tremendous, how do you not hit on them???

Totally agree.

Use it to your advantage.

UCLA did the right thing at the time...they weren't going to make a bigger splash with anyone else...and Chip did have a good college resume....UCLA will just do what they always do...underachieve no matter who the coach is...it's what they do.

It’s “song girls” and our program is dead. Congrats on Frosty getting you guys back on track. At least your future is bright!

UCLA is a little lower than Iowa
