Thanks for all the prayers but unfortunately it looks like the end is near. We go on Thursday to meet with the Doc to decide to quit Chemo and make her comfortable since it's in most of her bones & liver and doing more harm than good. It's tough to see the woman that raised you go through so much and waste away to almost nothing. Taking care of her 24/7 has been rough and I almost lost it when she said she wished she could send me to a game to get a night away. I told her not to worry that watching at home is a okay. But I Hope my tax refund comes back quick because I def plan on a trip with my sister and 2 of my nieces for their first game at Rupp.

Your mother sounds like a sweet lady, such a shame what cancer does to innocent people. You and your family are in my prayers

Watched the game with her tonight after giving her meds & shots and she was chucking at the way I was yelling at the game. So she got her amusement tonight at least.

Today is my moms first birthday in heaven. God bless your family beef. Certainly brings a little levity after a tough loss.

My deepest sympathy to beef and everyone who's lost their parent(s). That's not something I've dealt with yet, though my folks are elderly and feeble.

Had a cancer issue with my grandson 2 years ago. Fortunately he is now in remission. Deep wells of strength to your mom against this dreaded disease. Prayers for ur entire family as well. Now it is in God's hands. Very best of luck.

Took a break from the board of the summer. Sadly my Mom passed away in March and we just lost one of her sisters last month to Breast Cancer as well. Is it sad that I'm ready for the Madness of another Kentucky season to start so my life seems somewhat normal again.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My mother in law is in late stage cancer and probably doesn't have much longer. She got another year out of doing radiation and chemo, but it just isn't helping anymore. So they are preparing for the worst.

With all that going on, I just found out my stepdad is also in late stage cancer. He just started chemo recently. The doctors only give him about 6 months I believe. We went from never losing anyone in our family to cancer to 2 family members possibly in the next year. Cancer sucks.

Sounds like a fairy tale until you face a moment like this...but it is true:
Death = Life if Jesus is our Savior.
It's hard to see that and believe that...but the Empty Tomb of Jerusalem is the undeniable foundation of our faith.

God bless....

Prayers brother. Cancer took my Papaw when he was way too young. I hope you find some solace in the days ahead.

Father, your will be done in all things. Strengthen our message board brother/sister and the family giving them assurance that you are in control and will in all things bless them if they trust in you without fail. It is not easy but increase and cause their faith to endure where they are able to proclaim the gospel and in whom they believe. In Jesus name, amen...
