The 5 SEC teams we play twice are the top 5 teams in the conference beside us. We play UNC, Duke, Kansas, Seton Hall, Utah, and UL. I know the Tards are not going to be that good, but that's not our fault. Gonna be brutal, but should pay off in the post-season.

We need Reid.

The Bahamas should help, especially if Hagans is there.

I like the schedule unless we lose 10 and are poorly seeded again. Then, I don’t think it does much for you.

You have to play good teams. And we can’t pick our conference. The SEC will be brutal. Our Top 5 teams are likely to be in the Top 25 to Top 15 all year. Some of those may even be Top 10. We will have our work cut out for us.

At the end of the day you have to win games. How many games did we choke away last year? 4 or 5? Imagine we find a way to win those. That team looks radically different heading into the tourney. Win the games your supposed to and win a few you have no business winning and you’ll make noise. We just lost a few games we shouldn’t have last year and it hurt us.

I'll say one thing--if Travis wants to get tested and play on big stage after years of obscurity in Palo Alto, it's a simple choice. Villanova is obviously a great program and if he went there, I'd completely understand, but looking at the chance to play and prove yourself, the schedule is pretty brutal--and that's prior to facing NBA athleticism you see in SEC yearly-even if talent is down (which we know it's not) the type of athletes you see in SEC resemble NBA basketball specifically in frontcourt with athleticism, length, and physical play.

Prepping for NBA and getting to show your talent....with a Stanford degree in hand. guy has a great opportunity and talk about doing a cool 1 and done approach.

And yet as long as we get Travis we are a 35-5/36-4 type team. Duke will be very inexperienced when we play them. UL is going to suck. Seton Hall will be decent but they nothing overly challenging . KU is coming to Rupp luckily too. UNC is the game I think we might lose in the noncon and then I bet we lose at UF , at UT and at Vandy IMO .

All in on the tough schedule. Win the games you’re ‘supposed’ to and take a few tough ones and we’ll be set. I’m sure Cal is confident in the roster by taking so many OOC bruisers.

I’d like to have a fourth big to protect us during the long stretches of the season because three seems awfully thin.
