Second 10 minutes of the 1st half looked better than the first 10. This team is full of potential, but it's pretty clear they've got a long way to go. That's actually a good thing though. We sure don't want them to come out of the gate firing on all cylinders and burning out too soon. The season is a process. A marathon. Not a sprint.

The Cards were 22 point favorites, and won by 31. Sloppy play at times but potential is high. Hard to be too critical with a 31 point win. I thought the defense got stronger as the game went on. That's always a good sign.

The bigs looked better, especially on the defensive end (10 blocks). Something else to grind my teeth about - FREE THROW SHOOTING (15-27). C'mon guys!!!

Mitchell seemed to be the only one fired up early but the others picked it up and beat a pretty bad Evansville team.

Evansville rebuilding after a pretty good season last year.Just missed the big dance, but lost the core of that team.Normally,I would've said nice win,but that team is finding its way. They could still improve.

The Cards took care of business after the slow start(imagine that)
