No surprise here other than I thought they would wait a few days. I guarantee the salary is gonna be one of the highest in the ACC. Also he is really good buddies with ACC commissioner Johnny Tarheel swofford. Just think how cozy that will be. Side note here. Has any one heard if Johnny Tarheel has suspended any NCSU players for their part in the post game brawl vs. Unc. He would have to suspend them for the bowl game I guess. Of course the tar heels don't have a bowl game so no suspension there. Depending on whether they are seniors or not it could carry over to next season or he may do nothing at all. He probably should discuss this with Mack Brown. Mack's not gonna like to start his second tenurethane with suspended players. OFC

So apparently Mack is coming in on the cheap because Bubba is having to shell out $12 mil for the Hat. Mack is desperate to coach again and old money boosters over their are reliving 97. Lol!!!!

Suspended 4 NCSU players for one half against ECU. 4 tarheel players suspended for USC 2019 opener. Fair.

really interesting hire. mack was great for them but his last few years at texas were a dumpster fire. he admitted he did not really recruit there and relied on the ''texas'' name so it will be interesting to see if he can energize unc recruiting again.my one worry on this is that all of our recruits were at the game and the only kids who said they were not signing early were from nc. maybe waiting to see what happens with unc? heard chizeck as dc and klingsberry as oc.

Yep big schools will come calling for Satterfield soon. I hate that, but that’s the way it is. He’s done a great job with that program. They are hosting the sunbelt conference championship in Boone this Saturday. Weather permitting I’ll be there haha.

He'a great coach for sure. Would love to see him at Duke but he will be long gone when Coach Cut retires. OFC

He knew it was going on when he was at unc before. He was probably one of the architecs. So unc knows he is a cheater. Tells a lot about the character and integrity of the institution that they claim to be the people's university. I'm a citizen of the great state of North Carolina and proud to be one but that statement insults me and no way is it the University of this individual. OFC

Thanks QC. I guess I'm in rare form today. I'm just getting so tired of people like this troll day after day after day coming here and showing just how ignorant they can be. I just don't get it. Why don't they just go on their own board and say what they want to say about Duke, spell Duke anyway they want to. I talked to a 78 yr old guy yesterday at work (he's actually my boss that I work part time for). He's a graduate of UNX and he even said he didn't know why they hired Mack at his age and how he bolted for Texas. He did say that Fischer Deberry was in the running for the job years ago before he went to Air Force. He said Deberry withdrew his name because he didn't want to have to deal with all the politics involved there. I agree with QC, they should have went after Satterfield. I played football for Mack and I always thought of him as more of a politician than coach.

Any truth to the rumor that former coaches Dick Crum coming with Brown as the OC, Carl Torbush as the DC and John Bunting as linebacker coach? Bring em all back. What a staff. OFC
