Well if we wanted to revert our yearly FT% to the mean all in one game, it’s best to do it in a game where shooting 39% just means we win by 10 instead of 25. Would have sucked to do this against KSU.

Positives:
We are 8-3. Who thought that?
Jeffries starting to play like the stud we hoped he’d be.
Had a 28 pt lead against an ok team.
Shooting three pointers better.

Negative:
Haith continues to try to run clock every time he has the lead leading to our game becoming stagnant. I wish someone could calculate how we do against our opponents in the last 5 minutes. We just stall and hope the clock runs out. It is ugly to watch and good teams will beat us when we do this.
Free throws. Once is a fluke. Let’s hope that was it for this year.

Disagree we just tried to run clock. The free throw missing was contagious and our guys were mentally scared to take it to the hole.

??? Should have lost to K-State?

I’m used to fans saying their team should have won a close game that they lost. Not used to fans saying their team should have lost a close game that they won.

We have a very good team when we play hard and stay mentally focused for 40 minutes. But there isn't enough raw talent on the roster to just show up and win. Glad we're 8-3. I hope the guys gear up and get a win away from the Reynolds Center on Sunday.

But we will all take a loss to siu and a KSU win

The loss to Utah was the tough one to swallow

Utah is creeping up the NET ranking. I would not be surprised if they finish in the top 100 which is not a bad road loss.

On the post game show on the radio, they said Martins was on the court working on his free throws. He really had a rough night at the line. Had to be especially frustrating for a guy who has worked so hard to improve that part of his game.

Hope we don't puke all over our shoes vs. Dayton at the free throw line. I've got a feeling Christmas break practices will be mostly shooting, free throws, shooting, free throws, rinse & repeat.

Dayton will be a big game. They’ll have had a full week off by the time Sunday rolls around. We need to continue what we did last week and we can pick up another good win to make our case for an at large.

It was a weird game statistically on the free throws. The only three players at the free throw line for more than two free throws were our two 5's and our point guard. And our two 5's were 5/17. I realize part of that was because Igbanu missed several in a row, so they started playing hack a shack, but that it was both 5's missing so many was just weird. Especially since Falokun and Igbanu shoot over 70% through the season before last night. Just hoping this oddity was a one night event, and they don't keep the yips for another game or two.
