We should have. The defense played their asses off and Auburn did everything they could to help us. It was the perfect recipe for a road upset with Auburn being flat, missing 3 FGs, etc. But, Rich Rod and Luke found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again. The offensive playcalling is abysmal. I mean, extremely bad.

If State just puts 8-9 in the box on first down, RR will run right into the DL and you can have OM in 2nd and long all night. Which isn’t a recipe for offensive success when your QB went to the Nick Fitzgerald school of precision passing. I don’t see any way, at this point, that OM can win the Egg Bowl. State will be fighting for their 6th win, and OM can’t keep this level of effort up with nothing to show for it. This team could easily be 6-3 or better, and they’re 3-6. Luke is 0-for in 3 years in competitive games. Unless something flukish happens and OM finds themselves up 3 scores early, State will win the game in the 4th quarter because our defense will be exhausted from Rich Rod’s dynamic hurry up and punt offense. Macintyre has earned every penny of his contract and then some. Rich Rod has been a train wreck.
