Seems like a skin infection has run through the Mustangs program.
Camp Point Central picks up the win to move to 5-0.
From sources, socials, and coaches in the area, it's not just the Unity Mustangs program affected. Apparently CPC themselves have a few kids battling this. Many programs have reported, according to some, that they have players with the same apparent skin infection.
I'm going to guess this is much like the staph infection outbreak while I was in school.

Got to make sure to disinfectant shoulder pads and helmets each week. Also, keep weight room clean and disinfectant regularly.
Indeed, something I thought we learned in the early 2000s at least, or most definitely during COVID. I think we can all guess how members of the Mendon Unity-Payson school district felt during COVID though... so it might explain their lack of concern in this area.
That was not a fair shot at them. I know plenty of folks in Mendon area and they're all very wonderful hard working folks, but they do vote lately like the pigs they raise. These things happen. Have happened. Will happen again at some point. Hopefully it's just one game...
As for the football game itself... Unity definitely saves some face by not having to show up for a 66-0 trip to the wood shed at the hands of CPC this year. I guess crazier things have happened in this world, but it would take many miracles to get Unity with more points on the scoreboard than CPC at the end of 4Q this season it would appear.
