I apologize if I'm not recognizing why this is a silly question, but shouldn't EVERY game that's not a black out or a white out be a scarlet (red) out?

Anyway, didn't we wear black uniforms for the black out? They can probably arrange for the visiting team to wear white if they want.

This. I suspect we will be in red unis for the "Red Out"

Yes, every single home game that isn't a white or black out SHOULD be a a Scarlet out... by announcing it you likely get a larger percent than normal though I would think

I could never understand why people couldn't throw on a red shirt for a game. It's the slightest bit of effort to show support. Pet peeve

Huge pet peeve of mine as well, Scangg. I don't think I've EVER been to a Rutgers game where I didn't where a red shirt.

Please no gray. Had sinking feeling about Wisconsin just because of the stinking gray I noticed at tip.

Grays didn't hurt us against Michigan State. If they're saying it's a Scarlet Out then it's a stone cold lock we'll be wearing Scarlet uniforms. Just depends on whether throwbacks or 2022s.

Clueless as to the cause so my comments have nothing to do with that. Just preferred red, etc.

If you haven’t noticed this year our fans have done a relatively lousy job at wearing red (especially in the 100s and the students in 110). I just don’t get it.

I think student section at the very least gets scarlet shirts to wear, so that’s what makes it special to other days

I’ve noticed NUTS, I sincerely don’t understand it. As others have pointed out, it isn’t f’n rocket science :)

It’s not just us. Take a look at the photo in an earlier thread of Harper’s game winner at Indy. The student section in the background was far from all red or all white.

Funny because while I’ve been to countless games (football and basketball) I rarely ever wear red. I always have RU gear on, and my check clears every year, so I’m ok with some thinking I’m a lesser fan. Haha.

They will be in all reds. PSU I’m sure said not problem to wearing white
PSU could still be wearing their dark blues. Remember three seasons ago when we SMOKED Shoe at the RAC? We wore all red for that game, the Hall wore all black.

Not picking on you, truly interested, why wouldn't you wear red most of the time?

Seems to me it's a part of the fun and I'm second generation with nearly 6 decades of attendance...
