UNC's weakness

Total arrogance and inability to take responsibility for their mistakes. Oh, you are talking about their basketball team, not their fans and University. #UNCCHEATS #NCAAisCORRUPT. They have a good team, but they are not that good at maintaining defensive effort. They are a lot like UCLA in that they would just like to out score you.
They don't play defense....they just try to out score you and Roy literally can't coach how to close out on a perimeter jump shot. You are guaranteed to get quality looks from 3. Berry is actually a poor defender he just has good bigs who clean up after him when his guy blows by him often so Fox should have another really good game. They are offensive rebounding monsters though so if we can not get destroyed on the glass we have a good chance. We got nothing for Jackson and he is going to score to 20+ because he can easily shot over and back down Briscoe/Hawkins in the lane but you can survive one guy going off on you.
I don't think they are that physically talented overall. Their perimeter shooting can be up and down. More than ours actually. Spread them out and make them guard as we did UCLA. Don't allow them to rim run. Virginia stifled them with their pack line D.
we beat them twice, and were close at their house.....take jackson OR berry out of their regular game and control the boards and you can tear them up....

And Duke is a good example of how UNC can struggle on D. They couldn't guard Duke at all in any of the 3 games they played.
We need to try to contain Berry and Jackson somewhat, that's where the majority of their scoring comes from. When Jackson is fouled he needs to be fouled hard, he is much more finesse and won't like the contact. You can count on Maye or somebody like him to hit like he did the first game.
Can't guard Fox on straight line drives, so they'll try some gimmick defense that will try to take that away. If they try to trap--a tactic often used by UNC over the years--he's got to make good decisions. I like that Briscoe and in a sense Dom and Malik can also run the point. Our guard play last night--all four--was stellar and the best seen all year. Let's keep it going.
I say keys for us are Fox's ability to drive it like last night, and then also his ability to turn back into a point guard if he cannot shoot it or drive it. Rebounding and keeping their offensive rebounds down to a minimum is also key.
For Kenny Smith's sake, who is obviously always again UK, and is especially tomorrow, I hope we kick their (and his) ***.
I know it is all about matchups, but I can't help but think of South Carolina and Florida thumping Duke and Virginia, respectively, both teams just having beaten UNC somewhat easily in the last four games before the tournament. And then they should have dropped that game against Arkansas.

well, i don't make predictions......but i'm pulling for UK...I'm also pulling for my alma mater the gamecocks....
Their size is an issue, but dUKe starts a line-up similar to ours with less off the bench. Games were high scoring, but dUKe shot the 3 ball and drove to the rim. Generated open shots and got the UNC** players in foul trouble. dUKe shot A LOT of free throws in the games, much to the chagrin of the UNC** fans. This will be key along with not letting someone unexpected - - -Maye/Pinson/Britt go off.
It always concerns me when a player(Fox) has a huge game and needs to come back with another big game.

He just needs to bring his of-late typical D and take the opposing point guard out of the game. That would significantly lower the offensive output required to win the game.
Their weaknesses wont matter, nor will their strengths. They will be beaten so soundly that even you guys will wonder how easy this victory will be.
You being serious dude? You're giving up because of the referees before the game even starts? Should probably wait until after the game to make excuses over the officiating, smh. Who knows we may even have 1 or 2 calls go our way. The Tarheel fans think they got screwed by the ref choice too. This is beyond silly.
