UNC is not very talented at all . Bacot and Anthony are talented and Brooks ain't bad but the rest of these guys are not UNC level . I am rather shocked that they don;t have better players then that . Are some guys injured or something ? I honestly haven't been paying attention as knew UNC lost all their team basically and don't recruit at the level Roy did 10-15 years ago.
Unimpressed so far. Lucky they have Anthony. UL may do some damage in the ACC this year, unfortunately.:grimace:
Way more . UNC has a roster of a team who will be on the bubble and maybe a 9 seed. Just not much talent at all. DUke is still a top 5 talent team and KU has top 10 talent or so . UNC is Cole and sorta Bacot . That is why Cole went there he is like Trae young and now Cade in that he wants to be the sole alpha dog but thinking this way makes him pure beta . Real Alphas want to be challenged every day in practice and fight for minutes .
I understand your points but I can’t see them being lower than a 5. They’ll have 10 losses and be a 4 seed. It’s UNC* after all.
I wonder if “Tyrese Anthony” would be the more highly regarded prospect if “Cole Maxey” and he conducted a father switch.
Yeah I can see your point . But I do agree this is a 10-11 loss team. They are pulling away but this as well is one of least talented ND teams in a while as well.
I agree they’ll take their lumps. Gonna depend on Cole to win games, so throw a good defender on him and they should struggle.
I don’t know why but they switched to a 20 conference game season. Seems like they could still fit some OOC games in before though.
Curious.. do we prefer Duke and UNC to be better than UofL? Personally.. id rather see UofL win the ACC over those two.
Tonight’s stat line be damned, is Cole Anthony the better prospect because he’s the better player? Or is it because his father was the starting point guard for one of the greatest college teams ever/is a former NBA player/is a current NBA analyst?

ummmm because he’s a better player. The kid has been punishing people since his freshman year in HS. He punished others at camp then in HS, Allstar circuit and now his first game in college. Not sure what else he needs to do to know it’s more than just who his father is. That’s the great thing about basketball, you have to prove it on the court and he surely has

Cole’s a great player, and make no mistake is a stud. I don’t pay much attention to what these guys do in high school. I was genuinely curious as to what others thought, because Maxey wasn’t included in some Top 10 lists.
Historically, kids who choose UNC and Duke tend to get bumped up in perceived talent. Not all, but for every Anthony, Zion or Barrett....there’s 20 Trevon Duvalls, Gary Trents, Marcus Paiges, Frank Jacksons, Chris Burgesses, William Averys, and so on.
I never watched either play a single minute until last night and tonight. It was more of a rhetorical question than anything.

He's a ball dominant PG who wants to shoot it a lot.

That's why Cole went to UNC. He wanted to have the ball and all the shots whenever he wanted. He knew that wouldn't happen at UK.
No one has really answered why Anthony is the better player in this thread. They seem very similar in terms of talent/ability.
