I still think UNC is going to be better than everyone thinks. Maye is a good player, Johnson will be huge and I maintain Berry is one of the best players in the country. We win the ACC, IMO, but UNC is either second or third.

OFCImo UNC is an unknown now because no one knows how good their bigs are.If they are at least average Unc will finish second or third in the ACC.If the bigs are not average they will finish in the bottom half of the conference
People need to take off their Duke goggles. I despise the Holes but Berry is good, and he's a senior. There's no stat for what he does best, which is be the leader. I agree, if their bigs are descent, top 3 is where they will be. It's not like they land Hardee's All Americans, the guys they get are still pretty darn good.

I actually don’t have much doubt. A great guard in college is always going to give you a chance....and it’s not as if he’s playing with scrubs around him.
The big thing with UNC is there’s some unknowns. It’s true....we don’t know how their bigs will fare. I suspect some nights they will really struggle, but there’s nights I feel some of our freshmen will do the same. Also, Maye is a very adequate college player, in fact, he’s better than adequate. He was a top 100 recruit coming out of high school. Because he was a ‘preferred’ walk-on as a freshman it’s led people too believe he was some unranked player no other D1 programs wanted...however, he was recruited pretty heavily and by some ACC schools, to boot....most notably UVA.
On top of that, they still have a ton of experience. Cam Johnson is a legit ACC player. Theo Pinson, while being unable to shoot, plays the do-anything role and is versatile. If Garrison Brooks and Jalek Felton are anything this season, then I don’t see how anyone sees them as anything but a top 10-15 team in the country.
I love me some Theo Pinson, he's always good for a solid fumble in the red zone.
