Alrighty, well I'm just trying to talk about next years team which has nothing to do with the scandal at all and have a good conversation about the team next year.
You can't ignore the fact that the scandal will be the reason UNC will not be that good next year. Players will leave early for the draft, recruits will try to get out of their LOI, and some players will transfer, that is reality.

They won't be awful, but with the impending sanctions and the looming mass exodus... they're done being a factor on a national scale for quite some time after this year.

Exactly......if the NCAA does what they SHOULD do, UNC will lose A LOT. To me the biggest offseason factor for UNC is the scandal. If the NCAA lets them skate, you may see Hicks, Meeks, Jackson, Berry all return and with their incoming freshman they won't be awful. However, if there are sanctions I think you see a lot of exits out of Chapel Hill and the Heels will struggle.

Losing Paige and Johnson will be enough to take carolina out of the top 20. UNC will bring in a decent class but won't come close to making up for those losses. Next year they'll be a borderline top 25 team at best, better hope they win it all this year because this will be the last chance in a long time.

I think if Jackson stays we will be fine. With Berry and senior Nate Britt in the back court. We need another to add another big, but Jackson leaving would leave a big hole in our line up. We're a top 5 team with what could return. Y'all please hold your breath waiting for sanctions on the men's basketball team.

Once again, how are tar heels even allowed to be playing right now?

There is a reason they appealed and reported some "more violations" from the soccer teams and whoever else it was. They are willing to throw the other teams under the bus to protect basketball & football which are their cash cows. By submitting these "new violations" it allowed the whole NCAA investigative and appeal window to start over thus ensuring nothing would happen until this spring after the tournament. I think they know the hammer is coming and just want to try to have one more shot a championship before the hammer drops and they fade off into mediocrity for a while.

UNC won't be top 5 or top 15 under any circumstances next year. Hell, the only reason you have one this year is because of Johnson. It's good to see that you support academic fraud, the most corrupt program in the history of the NCAA.

You said, "nah, you can keep Briscoe."

Sounds like you brought him up to me. You got one of those paper degrees too didn't you.
Someone said they'd trade me Briscoe for Woods & Hicks next year.
My response was nah you can keep Briscoe.
AGAIN I didn't bring up Briscoe.

It's very flattering that mighty UK is worried about what UNC will look like NEXT YEAR.... Us Carolina fans will keep concentrating on THIS YEAR.

I don't think Kentucky fans are scared of what NC looks like. I think they're just talking about different college basketball teams and NC may have a pretty bad team next year, due to the pending sanctions that should level the program

Let's just get this out of the way.
I know, you know, we all know.... NOTHING will happen to the Men's Basketball Program at the University of North Carolina. The sooner everybody accepts that the sooner you can move on with your lives.

Hey.... HEY! Wake up... you're having a wet dream.

Cheaters excusing cheaters... Sadly you likely will not get all you deserve... but you're still a tainted ***** and the whole country knows it. You can polish the turd, put on fresh lipstick and a spritz of cologne - but you're still a *****, a cheat. That is lost on no one. The fact that you are content with it makes you a... well... back to your wet dream.

UNC makes Duke look like a clean program... chew on that.

UNC fans like to say the scandal is an "academic issue." If the AFAM scandal wasn't designed to assist the athletes that are NAMED in the report (mostly football and basketball) stay eligible then what was it for? Why would a department just decide one day to start making fake classes and giving fake grades? There has to be a reason behind and I think we all know what that reason is......if the NCAA doesn't punish UNC, then we have a serious problem. UNC fans KNOW that cheating took place and admit it, they have to it's in the report. But yet they don't think there should be any punishment for it.

UNCheats win the title, I just threw up on my mouth[sick] They should have been sanctioned already, funny how the NCAA hammers some schools quick and let's others ride it out in hopes of winning a title:chairshot:

And you're on board with that knowing what UNC did warrants the death penalty? Interesting.

Maybe so but its not nearly as big a deal to us as you think.

And as far as UNC fans are concerned, as kentucky goes, this is only the 2nd time in Cal's 7 seasons here that UNC has had a better team and progressed further in the post season. And you still haven't beaten us away from cheater hill since Cal has arrived.

Smart money is on Kentucky continuing to be clearly a better program than UNC as long as Cal is here, which is probably gonna be a while.

Besides the AFAM scandal, UNC also might want to keep an eye on the LD/ADHD info that is coming out of Chapel Hill. Beside, anyone who thinks that that many level 1 charges including the dreaded LOIC will not warrant severe sanctions is being completely unrealistic. Also, there are members of Congress that are watching what the NCAA does with this case. The NCAA must punish UNC hard or they do damage to their defense of a couple of court cases now pending. It will boil down to either the NCAA come down hard on UNC or they could lose their nonprofit status which could lead to the demise of the NCAA.

I don't know. Brice Johnson has really developed and he plays with an incredible nasty streak now. He is the main reason I did not think we could beat them if we had gotten past Indiana. He plays angry in a similar way MKG did and the rest of the team seems to feed off of it.

Theyre who I picked to win it. And I really hope I'm wrong because they shouldnt even be playing right now.

I'm not sure if he devolped or just learned to stay out of foul trouble. He could score and rebound during his early years but he couldn't stay on the court long because of dumb fouls.

No fan base was anywhere near as pompous as the UNCHEAT fans bragging on their "Scholar Athletes" and "The Carolina Way"... No fan base called out UK for hiring Calipari any more loudly then the slimy cheating bassturds from UNCHEAT.... Over the 18+ years that that slimy arrangement was in place; Dean Smith (The architect) as well as the followers in other programs as well as Roy were obligated to keep the scam going to remain competitive. Whether you ever get punished or not; as stated above, The Tar Heels are the dirty whores of College sports. No school or fan base would have been any more schrill in screaming for the death sentence than UNCHEAT fans... It could not have happened to a more pompous bunch of asses and yet; you maintain the façade.... Classy!

You guys are delusional. UNC's biggest hit from the scandal was last year and this year in recruiting, and they actually did pretty good this year in recruiting considering...

Nothing is going to happen to UNC men's basketball from this academic scandal. The fact they have self-imposed no penalties should tell you that. They are going to have a great year this year - will be surprised if they don't at least make the Final Four, and going forward UNC appears to be - as usual - locked in and a big leader for the best talent coming out of Tobacco Road.

UNC won't see another year like this year - where a Bam and SKJ ends up at UK, and a Giles and Dennis Smith Jr end up at competing ACC schools.

I sure hope you guys beat Indiana and I think you would of beaten us if we played that game but it shouldn't even be a consideration because you guys should be on major probation right now. If Cal and Ky had been caught doing what UNC has done they would of been crucified by now. Enjoy the run this year because the bomb will surely have to be dropped sooner rather than later.
