Luke Maye has had his one moment of glory.
Maye led all UNC scorers with 18 points. He also had 11 boards. In their prior game versus BC he had 32 points and 18 boards. Like him or not, he's good.

BTW ... 16 personal fouls called on ND and 16 personal fouls called on UNC.

Keeping it real!

Last shot of the game and the ref swallows his whistle.

Real is you support a cheating school that should have been punished. Any other team would have been hammered for doing half as much. But your school has powerful friends so you can cheat. Does that make you feel good? Then you are a low life scum. All UNC********** fans should be banned from here. I don't want to see anything a supporter of cheating has to say. Stands for everything that is wrong with the USA today. And represents nothing about what made this country great.

Take a long hike off a short pier.

Keeping it real? Uh, well, what should be real is UNC on probation for 5 years. That would be keeping it real.

Not to derail the attack on the other poster, but am I missing something in the picture? It doesn’t look like the UNC is touching his face, but rather his hand is trying to block his vision.

Facts can be so annoying when they don't support our preconceived and erroneous opinions, can't they? None of the stats I quoted were in error. The young man is averaging 18.2 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. He may not wear a UK uniform, but let's at least be big enough to give credit where credit is due. He's good.

You've also made a fallacious assumption about my "fandom."

My advice ... continue drinking heavily, but toss down a couple of Valiums, too!

Call ticky tack at one end and swallow the whistle at the other end. He smacked the shooter in the face on the put back.

Let's see if the "referees did it" logic works both ways.

UK vs. Vandy
UK: Whistled for 19 personal fouls; 25 of 37 FTs
Vandy: Whistled for 23 personal fouls; 19 of 27 FTs

Would you say the referees influenced the game in UK's favor?

You realize that "number of fouls" isn't indicative of anything and you're just attempting to troll right? It's the most misleading state in all of sports.

Bc it's either that or you lack the intelligence to know that some teams foul more do to style of play. And that 16-16 fouls is an irrelevant stat because some fouls are called at critical possessions or shooting fouls while other fouls are 30 ft away from the basket and have zero result on the game other than one foul closer to bonus. Or one team spends the entire half in the bonus because of a quick whistle and then the refs even it up late in the half with meaningless fouls and the other team spends 1 minute in the bonus. Not to mention when it isn't a one possession game the losing team is usually fouling intentionally which skews fouls and free throw attempt numbers.

You are an idiot. My posts have much to do about loathing UNC**** fans along with their cheating school.
Red this guy is the poster child/dictionary definition of a UNC fan.He is not fazed by their generation of cheating on a scale never before seen in college sports. It doesn't matter to him what they did,how unfair their advantage was as long as the NCAA didn't punish them everything is fine. They are currently above the law,it is the sports equivalent of O J getting off,I guess since the 'NCAA isn't worth a $H!^ they decided to acquit '. Everyone in college basketball knows what they did and therefore who and what they are.The truly sad part is that everyone should refuse to play them but no one has enough nerve to do it.

I'm not sure how their 30+ years of cheating has any bearing on their team this year. Does every team they're playing get bonus points because of their cheating? The scoreboard doesn't give a sh$% about what sleazy things they've done. So, why constantly bring it up when you are evaluating a product on the court? Bring it up when their fans start bragging about past accomplishments. Just my 2 cents.

You have a point,to an extent,as I see it.The current players are only accountable because of the uniform they wear(as far as we know)but it is not possible to take anything that relates to the UNC basketball program at face value. Roy is still there ,he has lied, twisted facts and contradicted himself so many times no one could count them.

What the players are or are not in terms of honesty, quality of talent or being decent kids is not the question. The institution of UNC and the UNC basketball program should be an embarrassment to college athletics and if the NCAA organization refuses to hold them accountable the the member institutions should do so on an individual basis

Any player who will play for UNC is the same type of player who would have gone to UNLV in the days of cheating beyond anybody's imagination. Some programs are noted as cheating programs and that is why players go there. Dean Smyth promised diplomas to all players and Roy has done the same. Anyone who thinks that UNC has reformed is an idiot.

Yes, I agree. However, this has zero to do with how well they play basketball. When analyzing a team it makes zero sense to discuss if they cheat off the court or not. One should focus on how well they play. Now, when discussing past “accomplishments”, it should be constantly brought up.

UNC cheated for 20+ years and then paid millions for PR and lawyers to whitewash the scandal. Folt made it clear from the start that UNC was ONLY interested in "moving forward" and not admitting wrongs or punishing wrongdoers. I am sorry but I refuse to give UNC and their fans what they want. They want us to move on and act like it never happened. Every time UNC basketball is mentioned, the cheating needs to be discussed. I personally refuse to let them get away with it.

That’s your choice. But, talking about their cheating doesn’t help at all to analyze their team and where they are strong and where they are weak. Also, haven’t they already got away with it? They went to the championship game two years ago and won it all last year, all while getting laughed at with the players they missed out on in recruiting. And the beat the NCAA and Sankey.

The fact that you and your cohorts are bothered by this discussion is good enough for me. Ironic that we are talking about this on MLK day with the realization that Dean may have been the ultimate racist because he didn't think black athletes could do college level work so he came up this this scam.
