If we pull out a victory we will get into the NCAA tourney. Our teams appear to be evenly matched. They have worse losses but better wins. They should be our marquee win that we circle because it is our second to last home game.
I say the cards win 75-68. Who do you have and what score?

UNC is the #1 team in the country in rebounding - which is UofL's biggest weakness.

They give up a lot of points. Cards need to spread them out and hit shots to win.

UofL has an entire week to prepare for the game. Hoping for the best but it won't be easy.

Nerves will once again play a role. If we can settle a little, UNC is loose with the basketball. Hit shots, distribute to scorers, keep the hero ball to a minimum, I think we have a great shot. Pretty much, the season is boiling down to these last 5 games.

I am pretty much on the same page. Play D the way we have and let the offense come as it does. Don't force anything into the lane on the dribble. If nothing else, it will be a good barometer of how far they have actually come as a team against two weaker opponents. I am expecting good things.

If we hit free throws, close shots and layups we will win. That has been the deciding factor in many games since the 2013 championship season.

ESPN's Match Up Predictor has it UNC 51%, UofL 49%, so, it's going to be anyone's game. We'll have home court, but they'll have a HOFer. If the Cards shoot like they did against Pitt, game over.

That won't happen since UNC will actually defend. We will win or lose this game on the boards and with defense I think. Plus we need good shot selection and that is why I dread Adel returning.

Not good shot selection - Great shot selection is needed which means making the extra pass. With that in mind it is a MUST for Perry to play a lot and play well IMO. He seems to be the most willing to make that extra pass. Q will need to play at his best too. Our wings will need to be ready to receive that extra pass and drive or shoot the open 3. Williams will need to stretch the floor by hitting some open 3's too.

I worry more about Ryan getting exposed on defense than I do about Adel or King being selfish. If Ryan can hit some open 3's and make some nice lob passes then taking a chance on him getting burned on D is worth the risk.

I'm not sure you can judge how the team has or hasn't looked given the competition the last two games. Ga Tech and Pitt could make any team look good.

If you can't tell that we've passed better, took better shots and haven't forced a bunch of one on one crap with Adel on the bench than your basketball IQ isn't very high.

I am just seeing what appears to be better basketball and more energy at both end of the floor. Anyone who has played basketball knows what a guy like Adel can do to a team when he constantly takes unnecessary bad shots when others are open or trying to run the offense. I don't think we blow out GT or Pitt that way with him playing like he was.

I think Mike's right. We had a true "reset" after our latest bad loss - we looked like a different team, and for the better, too. Much more energy, a far better effort. Perry and Nwora have developed into studly contributors, something I never saw coming a month ago. David's patience with them seems to be paying off.

I give us a chance @ The Yum, but I think they are deeper and more talented, UNC by 7 IMO.

Good luck tomorrow guys. My wife gave me tickets for Valentine’s Day. I don’t expect a Carolina win, we’ve struggled in recent years @ Louisville, but I hope for a thrilling & entertaining game.
Should be a great game and who ever wins i would say , to the victor goes the spoils.

Thanks. I’ve been every other time Carolina has played in the Yum & left with a loss. I gotta see them win one day... lol.
I’ve been concentrating on getting tickets to the UNC-UL baseball series in March, glad she stepped up & surprised me.
