To be fair, I was wrong a lot when I was his age as well. Children and Grandchildren have away of changing your perspective at times.

Lots of things didn’t exist then that do now

A lot of people think the UN's sole purpose is to destroy/bash the US and Israel on our dime, and provide blue hats. We can do the blue hat thing without the UN, in conjunction with those countries that participate.

That wasn't the question. We existed perfectly fine prior to that. However did we get things accomplished?
Sometimes concepts, esp on the world stage, fail to come to actual fruition. The UN is conceptually a positive for the US as well as the world.

My biggest problem with the UN is it’s lack of real teeth. Funding? I get the gripe, but I still think the end result (if it functioned true to its concept) would benefit the US substantially.

Reality is nowhere near that. Trump's a shake it up president, let's do it.

Statistics show that country just proved 79 absolutely correct.

Oops!

Despite signs of growing isolationism in the United States, Americans as a whole continue to express strong support for the United Nations.

Year after year, the results of a nationwide poll conducted by the bipartisan research team of Public Opinion Strategies and Hart Research Associates conclude that Americans overwhelmingly support a strong U.S.-UN partnership.

Our latest poll found that 88 percent of Americans support active engagement at the United Nations. Moreover, when studying specific voting blocs, the poll found that 65 percent of Republicans and specifically 58 percent of Trump voters agree the UN is still needed today. Similarly, among millennial voters, 86 percent also agreed with that sentiment, making support for the UN one area that millennials and Trump voters agree on.

That was a bad effort for even you Mr. Country. Had nothing to do with the Gallop poll I stated. Some day you will get there, I think. Ps. Not sure where you quoted that from, that may shed some light on the “support” of Americans.

Hahahahahaha.

You just keep coming back for more. It's like a guy who got the **** beat out of him who just keeps coming back for more punishment.

Washington, D.C. (January 4, 2017) — After a contentious national election, a new poll conducted by a bipartisan research team and released today by the Better World Campaign finds that registered voters remain unified in support of international cooperation and diplomacy as key tools of American foreign policy. More than 8 in 10 Americans —81 percent—agree that the United States is better positioned to achieve its foreign policy goals when it “works with major allies and through international organizations” rather than act mainly on its own. An overwhelming majority—88 percent—believe it is important for the U.S. to maintain an active role at the United Nations.

Yes, Mr. Country posts (word for word) an article written in 1995. Then uses info by “The Better World Campaign” as evidence to support his argument. ..... It may take this youngster a little longer than most..

You’ve got a better chance of suddenly enjoying the warm caress of a man than getting Cunty to admit he’s wrong.

To summarize, I handed your *** to you but you are too stupid to acknowledge you lost, as cited in a bi-partisan research team. Are you related to dave? Or better yet, dave posting with a second name? I think so.

LOL!

.The Better World Campaign (BWC) was launched in 1999 with support from entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner as part of his historic $1 billion gift to support UN causes. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., we work to strengthen the partnership between the United States and the United Nations.
