Ukraine is pushing its Western allies to provide it with fighter jets, a week after winning pledges of sophisticated modern tanks.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban asserted Friday that Western countries providing weapons and money to assist Ukraine in its war with Russia have “drifted” into becoming active participants in the conflict.

The U.S. has sent more than $54 billion to Ukraine since the war against Russia started, according to The New York Times.
Joe Biden pledged another $45bn in support for Ukraine – a package Congress will now negotiate over. If the proposal is passed, it would be the fourth US aid package for Ukraine and the total money allocated for Ukraine since February would be nearly $100bn.
