They almost had the biggest choke job in history but held on to beat WV by one point. With .2 seconds left all WV could do is tip it in. They lobbed it into the lane and we fouled them but the refs ruled it was after the buzzer. We were up 8 with four minutes left

No we didn’t foul. The ref blew the whistle because the girl caught the ball and didn’t tip it. Now we may have played tough defense but didn’t get called for a foul. Saying that it was almost a miracle comeback for them and a massive letdown for us. Our guards Can’t handle any pressure at all and it’s going to knock us out next game probably. Congrats for holding on today and great job ladies for making it this far.

I’m tired of watching dumb basketball. The Ill advised 3 pointer with 11 seconds to go and around 8 seconds to go on the shot clock. Heck WV was going to let it play out. Just take a shot with a half second on the shot clock and by the time the rebound is made there would be hardly anytime left. The ability to move the ball to the frontcourt after a timeout is a stupid rule however. NBA does that garbage and has for decades. It’s a stupid rule that awards the offense for nothing.

Biggest choke job in history??? I guess you never watched any of the men’s games the past 15 years with Calipari gagging on leads

Brooks didn’t have the right defenders in the lane for that. Good thing they only had 0.2 sec left.

Morgan has to take more responsibility to score. She has the talent to get 20-25 pts a game but she won’t shoot it unless it’s a last resort. Also I thought she should have handled the press better. Next year with freshman Maddyn Greenway, we’ll definitely get more scoring g from point guard, but will miss Morgan’s leadership.

I agree. We definitely need to bring in another starter at the point. A leader who can handle when it gets tough. I’m excited about the freshman and the squad next season, they’re going to be really good. Need at least one more big time shooting guard as well probably to make the leap. Their on the right track for sure.
