LOL at people complaining about rebounding . When you shoot over 60% there aren't many rebounds to get. We are playing great beyond a few dumb turnovers.

Being out rebounded 16-10. That might not seem significant, but it is in a game like this.

Perry Ellis looks a little slow for this game...but when you get over 50 its hard to keep up.

Over reaction much? He has had a bad 2 game stretch since he has gone to the bench which is understandable but Skal has played better so it has evened out . Lee just needs to find his confidence again no biggie.

Every player has a couple of games when their shots don't go in, but that isn't my concern with Lee. He looks like he doesn't know what to do. He is playing more like a freshman than a veteran player.

The way we've played so far has shown, even if Kansas comes back and ends up winning, that these guys are figuring it out and will be dangerous when it counts.

IN this game I have zero issues with the rebounding but in general I agree.

I mean when you have an eff FG% in the 70s it's less important.

I'm actually more bothered by KU getting 35% of their misses.

Cause you have to figure that they aren't going to turn the ball over nearly 30% like they did in the first half. We have to do better on the boards in the 2nd half or they could be in trouble.

Let Poy go after Ellis and get into his chest. See if he keeps fouling. They won't struggle without him, but having him in foul trouble certainly favors us.

Should Lee fall below Skal in the rotation? Skal is starting to step up and Lee appears to be falling off.

Has Kansas been this far behind all year at home? I don't think so.

Kansas has an offensive rebound rate of 35.7%. It's not good defensive rebounding by any stretch, but it's not dreadful. The difference in rebounding is largely because we have only gotten 1 offensive board.

The key is not the offensive rebounds... it is the defensive ones. So, it really doesn't matter how well we are shooting. In fact, if we're shooting that well and still getting outrebounded then it is even worse in terms of rebounding. That means they are getting a lot of offensive rebounds and second chance points. We need to bring those defensive rebounds down and get out on transition.
