2020-21 SEASON CAT SCRATCHES
• 2020 marks the 16th year in the tenure of Craig Skinner at Kentucky.
• UK won the 2020-21 SEC Championship, making it a four-peat for UK’s senior class.
• The Wildcats’ #2 seed is the highest in history.
• Kentucky will be playing eight SEC matches in the fall of 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The rest of the season will shift to the spring of 2021 to allign with the adjusted dates for the NCAA Volleyball Championships.
• UK was the only team to go 8-0 in SEC play in the fall. The Wildcats have a two-game lead on the rest of the conference heading into the spring season.
• Kentucky is a three-time defending champion of the Southeastern Conference, having won the league in 2018, 2019 (undefeated) and 2020.
• UK was picked to win the SEC by the conference coaches by winning 11 of the 13 first-place votes. You could not vote for your own team.
• Gabby Curry, Madison Lilley and Alli Stumler were voted Preseason All-SEC by the conference coaches to begin the season.
• Kentucky’s 2020 recruiting class was ranked No. 1 in the nation by PrepVolleyball. The class of five newcomers is the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history.
• UK started the 2020 season ranked #3 in the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association top-15 rankings. That was the highest ranking in program history, but comes with the caveot that only teams playing volleyball this fall were eligible to be ranked.
• With a 3.30 team GPA a season ago, UK announced as winners of the 2019 Untied States Marine Corps (USMC)/American Volleyball Coaches’ Association (AVCA) Academic Honor Roll for the 2019-2020 season.
