I don’t think they’ll win the SECT. If they do though, probably S16 is the cap. Just too hard to wont 4 games in 4 days then 6 straight. Even very good teams don’t often win 10 in a row like that. This team certainly hasn’t.

More realistically, even if they win SECT, it’ll be a first or second round exit since we’ll be seeded low.

We could even lose in one of the play in games!

Winning the SECT is gonna be tough.
UKs seeding might be the deciding factor.
UK is currently 8th,
If played tomorrow, UK would play the 9th, Ole Miss and with a win, then 1 Bama.
If UK moves to 7th, UK would play 10 Miss. St and with a win, then 2 Ark.
I think that would be the easiest route to the semis.
All this could change by Sat night.
That's as far as I am looking ahead right now.

If we win the SECT and make it in, we are looking at a 10 seed at best. I think whatever the scenario we want to avoid the 1 seeds (therefore we want to be a 10 or 11 seed). After that, anyone is “beatable.” I think with our PG situation we’d be happy to win 1, but could roll the momentum into unforeseen elite 8 with the right draw.

I’m not saying we couldn’t do some damage in the tournament only because we would be on the ultimate free roll.

First, let me say I honestly think UK will win the SEC Tournament. That's right...I do. But if you don't agree that's OK, but hypothetical say they do. How far do you think this team could go if they keep improving & win the SEC?
They ain't winning the SEC tournament.

We really need to make up the S. Carolina and TAM games to improve our SECT seeding. They’re two games we should win. Will either be played?
Honestly, we don't want to improve our seeding. If we do, we will probably end up with Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
As it stands now, we're looking at playing LSU, Arkansas or Mizzou and starting off with UGA.

No. We’re currently sitting at 8th in the SEC standings. We’d play 9 seed Georgia in our first game and 1 seed Bama in the second. I’d like to get out of that.

It changed then, the bracket Matt Jones posted on twitter showed us in the bottom of the bracket, starting out with UGA, then getting Ark/Mizzou, then LSU. But, several games have been played since then.

I think if you were to make up a game and run the table to an SECT final game loss they would let you in at .500 due to the finish and schedule. I think 16-14 has gotten in before with a tough schedule.

The 1 seed always plays the winner of the 8-9 game. That’s why I’d like to see us move to the 7 seed. We wouldn’t be in Bama’s half of the bracket.

Plus, every player in UKs 7 man rotation is playing on an uptick.
Do you realize the tenuous nature of only having 7 guys for 4 games in 4 days? How many times will a Cat get 2 quick fouls in the first half and have to sit? Maybe even multiple guys. This team’s hopes are hanging by a thread.

Think that was UGA under Harrick but iirc they had beaten some good teams on that tough schedule.

If UK would have scored a total of 10 more pts in various games, they could have 4 more wins (Kansas, ND, Ga and Ark) and been in solid contention. But I don’t see them winning the SECT. I think guard play will kill us in a close game.

The bracket MJ showed, had us on the 7 line. He talked about it on his show, I think on Monday, said "I'd take that bracket right now", which I agree with.
