Hey everyone! So this is my first post and I'm curious, does anyone collect or have some really great UK memorabilia they'd like to share with everyone? I'm sure I'm not the first person to make a thread about this and I'm not looking to purchase anything (at least that I know of, unless someone's got some 100th anniversary stuff from 2003 haha), I'm just new and love seeing stuff like that since I'm a big history buff on anything I enjoy (gotta know where it came from to love where it is!). I was just curious. Thanks and GO BIG BLUE!

I have some UK memorabilia, way more Reds stuff than anything.

Two best UK things I probably have:

Mashburn poster schedule from 92-93 season, squeezing the ball, framed up.

4 Leather bound Books that are about 18" tall from '85-'89 seasons. Books belonged to a library at some point and were given to me by a teacher when I was young. They are pre-season through post season of all games, stories in newspapers, etc. Pretty cool. Covers Hall thru hiring of Pitino.

Most of my other stuff is run of the mill...

Recently moved into a new home and haven’t had time to get the room up with renovations but here’s some 12 stuff I’ve already brought in. Banners hung in super dome one in and one out. Diaper for reference of size.

Pretty cool harrellson game used knicks Jersey and warmup I just recently grabbed up.

I have an authentic Mountain Dew can, full and dented. It was once used to launch at one Scott Padgett near the curve at Woodland and the old Six Pack. It didn’t hit Scott, but, after being thrown from the back of a Jeep Wrangler, it did cause Scott to run full out in chase of the Jeep for at least 20 yards.

I returned to the scene about an hour later to get the can. And no, I didn’t throw it.

I believe you. I’ll buy it.

Couple of mini-UK balls signed by Patterson and Cousins. Not much better than those except replica banners, a full panorama framed Rupp Arena photo, a UK tapestry, and a unique hand-made, small-scale Rupp Arena with a lid that pops off to see inside. Oh, and a couple of hand-made, custom cornhole boards that are replicas of the basketball court and football field.

Some of my UK stuff. We have a 100 year UK book signed by several UK legends, some miscellaneous UK stuff, a Ray Mills autgraphed card (love that he wore a football helmet), a Basil Hayden 100 years of basketball first day cover, UK basketball museum medal, 1921 UK basketball jersey, my original UK Starter jacket, and my 3 NCAA Championship watches from 1948, 1996 and 1998.

Was the ‘48 watch actually produced at that time? Looks like it.

Wish I had the space to create a room like the video above. I have too many items collected over the last 25 years. Eventually I will have to sell/auction, or hope my kids cherish them as much I have.

Favorite pieces of my collection are Lou Tsioropoulous's actual uniform (w/ a letter to me from him authenticating it) from the '54 undefeated season, Johnny Cox's '58 championship ring (w/ letter from him), Antoine Walker's '96 championship ring (when he fell on hard times, he unloaded it), Jay Shidler's "K" letterman jacket autographed w/ inscription re '78 champs, and the net from the '58 championship game, with a letter from Vernon Hatton. Signed ball and jersey from each of Cal's 10 seasons thus far, too.

I was after that walker ring. Heard about it and couldn’t locate it when I went to buy it. Remember me when you think about selling that or the other rings and jerseys.

I got these from the estate of Van Florence. He was an emissary for a bunch of UK coaches and ran the UK Basketball Museum. I spoke with his brother and he told me the 1996 and 1998 trophies came from Pitino and Tubby as gifts. I'm not sure about the rest. Hopefully I can someday find a 2012 (and 2020 and so forth, amiright?) to round out the collection.

I believe AD's mother has one of AD's dirty diapers on sale on Ebay and a picture of him pooping in the diaper free fall. The Col. has bid 40 bucks so you better hurry if you want it.

I don't have much in the unique category, but I have this print that was given to me by a friend's mom. I had it framed to hang up if I ever get a good space for it. I have never seen any other one out there. So either it is something nobody cares enough about to display it or there might not be many left out there. I have no clue. Do any of you?

LE print by MJ Puleo of Rupp. Puleo is a listed portrait artist. Nice.

I’d say my favorite item is the actual game ball from the he 1974 Kentucky vs North Carolina game. Kentucky won 90-78 and the game ball was given to Jimmy dan Connor who scored 35 points in the game. He autographed and put the score on the ball and I ended up with it in an auction.

Up until almost 10 years ago. I collected various Kentucky themed car/truck banks and a couple of other types (like an Air Raid airplane from Hal Mumme era). They're all based on either University-based, Football and Basketball, SEC Championships. NCAA Championships. Got to the point I ran out of room to keep them had to stop buying them. This case below is the majority of them but I have a couple of cases on my wall that has some in them and some that are tractor trailers that deal with some type of University of Kentucky theme behind it.

Lots of stuff....but only a few interesting pieces. Joe B. Hall signed MM bottle. Russian nesting doll found in Florence, Italy. Paraffin lamp found in Naples, Italy. Somewhere on a shelf in my house there’s a UK Venetian mask from Venice. Nothing particularly valuable but I enjoy finding UK stuff overseas.

First time trying pics....hope it works.
