Lol but we didn't score in like a 9 min stretch. We had issues even getting into our offense without turning it over. At least Tyty wasn't turning it over and giving us a chance to at least get a shot off.
We didn’t score because we weren’t running anything to score. Like I said, a lot of dribbling and not much else.

Hindsight is 20/20. If he picked up his 3rd foul in the first half, you'd be complaining about that.

There's a lot to knock Cal on, but that's not one of them IMO.
No I wouldn’t. He can sit a few minutes then come back in. He can be alternated O for D as breaks in play permit.

You have to know your players. O is not a fouling machine. Played last 20 with no fouls. Get a clue

Ive never seen anything like that. Your 2 best PG options go down in the same game.

Shaedon Sharpe, COME. ON. DOWN!!!!

That LSU run the majority of it was with Tyty on the bench.
Our lineup after Tyty went out was trash and the 3 big lineup has been trash all season. Now, I'd expect making another basket or two, but playing against the best defense in the country exposed the lack of skill we have at the 3 when we don't play a 3 guard lineup.

They definitely dialed up the defense after Tyty went out. I don't know the actual numbers but I feel like that 20-3 run was fueled by a ton of turnovers most of which was with Tyty out.

Even in turnovers
Even on the boards
Similar free throws (despite our awful 50% they weren't much better)

Just a matter of one team shooting slightly less horrible than the other from the field.

When he was in the game he wasn’t doing anything but dribbling. I watched the game. I’m not saying him being out had no impact but it was minimal and nowhere near the impact of Wheeler. Washington just didn’t have a good game when he was on the floor. It’s a fact. Brooks also disappeared again. I wish he and Toppin could both play well in the same game.

Free throws. Make them and we win anyway.

Plus minus doesn't care about turnovers? Mintz leads plus minus with a +6. But also lead in turnovers.

It was the combo of both IMO.

If Wheeler doesn't get hurt even with Tyty having an off game, we probably still win the game.
If Tyty doesn't go out with cramps. maybe we don't completely collapse in the second half. He definitely wasn't good but he took care of the ball unlike Mintz who did not.

After Grady got hot and we went up by 9, we started having possession after possession where we missed shots. But then we got to a point where it was like a turnover waiting to happen on offense. Tyty was a downgrade from Wheeler but once you had him go out, there was NO ONE. It was a complete mess.

You face a team like LSU that forces turnovers coming into the game on nearly 27% of their opponents possessions without a guy who can be relied on to be a PG and not turn it over, you're asking for trouble.

It's frustrating because both road games we've played this season I felt like we really had a great chance of winning.

If Wheeler and Tyty stayed on the court, I don't think this would have been close IMO.

Yes. That’s why losing Wheeler was such a big blow. He’s a true PG. Washington not so much.

Another game Brooks didn't care about playing. Washington too loose with the ball playing the 1. Just like we knew refs will keep OT off the floor on the road most of the time. All they knew to do was throw up 3's and they didn't even look like good shooters. Why did they play harder than us when we got up 9? Hard losing to a big time cheating coach and a former coach that hated us bad.
