We need a stud center and none of the recruits match that. We will have a load of talent but you can't play them all in the same position. I don't see any of the very top High School centers leaning toward Kentucky which boggles the mind when you see a Nick Richards versus some of these other programs that developed no one. Getting a good High School Senior Center may be OK but it is a position of great importance in the way Cal runs a team. The learning curve for that position might be a challenge unless there is a Zion or similar out there. So, either grab a very good Grad Transfer or maybe even go Gonzaga with a foreign player with experience that somehow they get approved.

I think EJ is nearly a lock to be back.

I am pretty confident in IQ being back.

No clue on Hagans...but his message last night seemed as if he was coming back. I do think we get back one or the other....if not have to add a grad xfer.

Feel like we need another big...

With that said my guess:

IQ
Boston
Clarke
Brooks
EJ

Askew
Juzang
Allen
Fletcher
Jackson

We need more bigs imo. Cal's offensive scheme doesn't exactly cater to small ball because they don't shoot enough 3's. We've had our best years when we have a dominant center. I just hope we can get some bigs. For the last few years I feel like Cal has said we need more size, and then he misses on a few and just decides "Well, what we've got is good enough".

Looks good on paper but we have 0 inside game. Even if EJ returns and improves he is not an inside player. An Jackson is a twig as well. We need some beef.

Brooks, Juzang, Allen will be back. I feel there’s a really good chance that EJ will be back. And it’s not impossible that one of Hagans/Quickley come back, though I’m not counting on that. (I think Richards & Maxey are gone)

Even if we’re done, that absolutely leaves enough talent to compete for a final four.

But I think Cal adds a grad transfer (or 2). If he does and/or we get a surprise returnee, I think next year’s team is going to be upper echelon of what Cal’s had here.

Hagans will not be back. Cannot believe anyone believes he will. We need two large bulky, Strong centers about 6’10, 250 that are skilled.

I wouldn't mind if he took some home grown talent to develop. I'd like to see a full roster next year.

He tried harder than ever to get another big last season.Even at the end he was after Blackshear and Dante.

Quickley needs to return and run the Point and work his way into the first round.

Montgomery needs to return and get stronger and tougher.

Quickley, Clarke, Boston, Brooks, and Montgomery backed up by Askew, Allen, Juzang, Fletcher, Ware, and Jackson would have a serious shot at #9.

Need those two starters back.

All players in next year's class will be FRESHMEN..Let's not forget it takes a while for some of them to find themselves on the court, some take longer than others. It will be interesting to see who comes back especially with the way the season ended. While the new class maybe the best or whatever, you still need some experience to win on the road and in tight games.

I do agree. But I also think Clarke and Boston are the best 1-2 recruiting punch we’ve gotten since Davis/MKG.

I would not at all be surprised to see Hagans, Maxey, IQ, and Nick all gone.

Juzang leaving wouldn't be a shocker either. I tend to favor Juzang leaving over Brooks because we need the bodies in the frontcourt.

We have so much wing depth coming in that I think a mass exodus is feasible. Without Juzang and IQ, we'd have 5 players for 3 positions (1, 2, and 3). Brooks might even be able to slide into the 3. He played well there during the final stretch of the Florida game.

But there were some on this board that said Brooks could not play anything but the 4.
