In all fairness, they did beat us for Rakeem Christmas...I see where he's now playing for the always formidable Fort Wayne Mad Ants.

They beat us for Coleman, too; a kid with two-and-done potential. Isn't he entering his 6th year now at Syracuse?

Well this 'dasher' guy on the Cuse forums says "We don't have a signed LOI. that I know. He could have signed it and kept it. Ready to turn it in tonight. But if someone has a signed LOI, it isn't us."

Last I recall, Green's HS coach said the letter was sent in on Wednesday.

now i have no clue if what his coach said about the NOI is true (i think it is), but if it has been signed sealed and delivered, it is over
the cuse fans saying they are trying to flip him back is all but admitting cuse is breaking NCAA rules

Whoever the poster is that said Bamba "ship sailed long ago" needs to quit smoking crack...lol. He was one of UK's guests at MSG.

Did you:
1...not know that?

2...fall off the bed, hit your head & kind of fuzzy since?

3...had a bad sexual episode that left you with feelings of despair?

4...still smoking crack?

Have been to the grave site of Valens, the Big Bopper, and Holly on a motorcycle trip. Ultimately headed around the lakes through Ste Saint Marie and the locks. About 1500 miles on a motorcycle at 18.
Anyway, they're buried near Clear Lake Iowa if my memory serves, which it may not.

Concede Knox? Why?

He has said all along he won't commit til the spring. Plus he is coming in January for the ku game. No way cal has conceded Knox. Isn't that one of the guys he wants most?

We concede Knox by signing another SF. Bamba is the guy he wants most

What's weird if it is Vanderbilt, is it just came out within the last couple of days that he said he wouldn't sign in the fall.

Jarred Vanderbilt has officially become the mysterious equivalent to the monolith at the end of the film 2001 Space Odyssey.

Here's a shot of Rupp's Rafters posters realizing that Vanderbilt is the secret LOI.

Vanderbilt is a 4/3. He would be the back up SF. Good ball handler and great passer

It would be a bit foolish if Vanderbilt committed to UK right now. Gabriel and SKJ both might come back. Then you have a very real possibility of Bamba playing the 4 for UK next year. Then there’s Washington at the 3/4. Also, where do people get the idea of Vanderbilt playing the wing? He doesn't have the skills to play the wing.

Chris Fisher still has Young going to UK. What's the chance he is the second LOI? Wasn't he about to commit in the fall? And Green appeared to have decided on UK after seeing three 5 star guards play together very well. Maybe Cal was able to convince them on playing together and Young just wants some time to figure out how to announce it to the Oklahoma fans.

I have been thinking along the same lines of Young & Green playing together. Would be nice.

I don't get it. Fine, you went to Syracuse, you're a Cuse fan. Cool.. but 70% of Cuse fans have never been to a game.

I'll admit that Cuse is New York's best basketball program.. But it's western NY (despite what their forum says).. it's not NYC. I'd rather be a fan of St. Johns or another school from the city. Not some decrepit, rust-belt-ish city that will never ever ever be a winning program after JB..

For me:
1. Manhattan Jaspers
2. St Johns Red Storm.
3. Suny Albany Great Danes
4. Siena Taints.
5. Not Syracuse
Deinitely Western NY. Worked in both NYC (in 2000) and Upstate NY (in 2013). Actually, I even worked on the rooftop of the Sheraton in Syracuse, right across the street from the University. Loved NYC, Upstate, not so much. Most definitely accurate to say that Syracuse is a complete ********.

WE will get Young IMO but he is waiting. Like I said only Vanderbilt makes sense. WE add him with Green in the fall and we have locked up number 1 class regardless who we get in the spring . Gotta love how some UK fans act like Vanderbilt is scraps. Dude is a top 10ish player who is only at 20 right now due to injury during the summer. He is a beast. Knox is slightly better but you don't turn away and future lotto pick for another future lotto pick. Man I would break my hand going all Kermit if we added both Vanderbilt and Green in the fall.m

No he doesn't. Hasn't switched his pick but he said on the VIP boards that there was no possibility

Anyone else think Brad might get minutes next year if UK only signs 1 more guard? Not like 30 minutes, but 15 or so?

Number 1 In the SEC reguardless of who else UK gets, I agree. If another school gets 4 top 10 guys (plus two top 60) as some predicts then they get 1 nationally

Doubt it unless he grows. He can't defend, he's slow and he's short. If he plays and others not a blow out or a bunch of injuries then UK is in big trouble that game

If UK locks up Green/Vanderbilt/Bamba/Diallo.

Best case for Duke:

Carter - top 5
Knox - top 5
Trent - top 10
Coleman - top 40
O'Connell - top 75
(while returning Jackson, Kennard, Jeter, Bolden).

Best case for UK:

Bamba - top 5
Diallo - top 10
Washington - top 15
Richards - top 15
Vanderbilt - top 20
Green - top 25
Alexander - top 50

Bamba/Green to UK essentially stop Coach K's plans for a legacy-based magnum opus OAD class.

With all the hoping, guessing, and opining going on and assuming we have LOI from Green and a 2nd LOI coming,
which position is more advantageous?
Two "bigs" singed and 2 maybe 3 (WG) returning, would Bamba be better or a G/W? With Alexander and Green signed, wouldn't Knox or Vanderbilt be a better fit with the chance of losing Bamba?
Richards..........Hump...C
Washington.....SKJ ..PF
Gabe..Vandy/Knox.......SF
Knox/Vandy/Alex..........W
Green/Alex..................PG
