UK got 2 LOI's?

Fishers words were "UK is gonna pull another rabbit out of the hat" that would insinuate that it's a surprise.
He also ruled out young. That toils only leave Knox, Bamba, diallo and Vanderbilt. (Vanderbilt would be my guess)
So as of Sat morning all we really know is we have 3 verbal commitments? We might have a commitment from Green whose signed his LOI, but if it's for UK no one is saying. And we might have a commitment from some other player?
All jokes aside, I did see WWW with Bamba and other HS players at the 2015 UK-Notre Dame tourney game...made me think this kid would inevitably be UK.It's okay. World Wide Wes was seen contacting Bamba yesterday.
I will admit I had to look that one up.
I tried to look it up and still couldn't find out what it meant...
Vanderbilt sat out most of the summer season with an ankle injury I believe. Needs to develop a jump shot but the kid is an absolute stud IMO. Great vision and handles extremely well for his size. Smaller version of Julius Randle is what I see

idk about the rankings but I have always loved his game. If you can get either one of Knox or Vanderbilt you take it and run. Knox does provide better shooting but man I love Vanderbilt. I remember how Justice Winslow was able to change things for Duke a couple of yrs ago and I think Vanderbilt is that player. So versatile. If UK could throw 2 combo guys out there like Vanderbilt and Washington at the same time, it just really changes how you can defend them. Love guys who can just make plays and in Coach Cals system that type of player will always flourish

Don't we have 3 LOI's already? Richards, PJ and Alexander...Green would be 4 and the mystery man would be #5?

Well--friend sent me a text and was very happy. lol Believe me--he's very very VERY happy to have been told the incorrect info here. And what accompanied it had him even more excited-but nothing public will be announced as of now.

So if it does end up public--we'll soon know but he'd been told something else along with Green that had him excited. What it was (he wasn't allowed to say) I am just as much in dark as you but I was allowed to hint at more good news.

The word is that it's been received and not made public. Not sure I understand the logic behind it. Only thing is that Cal loves to pull these surprise stunts. Remember we only found out about Bam the day before? Before that we didn't think we were in the running
All I know is that we landed PJ Washington who is my favorite player we have signed in a very long time. Anything after that, for me, is all icing on the cake.
While I'd love to have Vanderbilt, I'm not sure where he'd find minutes in that rotation. SKJ, Gabriel, and Washington would all play ahead of him in your scenario.
If this "5th commitment" has any wings to it, I'm hoping it's Diallo, Bamba, Young, or Knox. All of those guys fit an immediate need for next year.
Chris ruled out young as the 5th. And I wouldn't rule out jarred. We need depth at the 3. We just need a 3 for that matter
LOL never pay any attention to tweets . if they matter Jaylen Brown , Bolden , and many others would be UK players. it is fairly obvious the player is Vanderbilt. His parents love Cal and UK and he was estatic after his visit. If it isn't him it would be Diallo but I very doubt that.
I'd love to add him. I don't want to sound picky, because any five star addition would be huge in the early signing period. He seems like a open-court four man to me though, due to his shooting limitations (although it's clear he can defend multiple positions). Might flourish in a setting where plays the 4 with Green, Young, and Diallo at the 1-3 positions. Great defensive potential and proven rebounder. Nice handling skills. Jump shot is broken but will be develop. Won't help in the spacing department while he's at UK, but will help defensively and on the glass. Would be a great pickup if he's the mysterious 5th man.
