So many high impact games tomorrow. Huge opportunity for jockeying for seed position.

Seems like the line should be flipped. Kinda odd opening line. Maybe Vegas knows something we don't and Tyty/Wheeler playing or 1 of the 2 playing. I don't know.

So Vegas assuming our 2 guards are out, or at least 1 of them, which is probably a safe assumption.

I don't think we would be favored by more than 2-3 with both our guards playing at Arkansas. I am surprised it opened with UK favored, but the line will move Arkansas way asap I'd say.

Like a lot of opening lines, matches up pretty well with how Kenpom would handicap it. Probably not unfair, considering how we’ve performed the last 2.

Does anyone know if there is communication between the oddsmakers and every program/franchise/organization, prior to creating their lines?

There's so much money involved, they have to know if so-and-so isn’t going to play.

My guess here is, Wheeler will play, but TW wont. I really don't know what SW's wrist injury is, it didn’t seem like much.

I think that's logical. It definitely seems in terms of severity, the Tyty one is far worse than Wheeler.

Yeah KP has a predicted score of UK 76 Arkansas 73.

Of course that's taking into account we have both players.
But wouldn’t vegas adjust that if they knew key players would be out, or would they just let it ride and let the bettors move it?

I know nothing about gambling.

Me neither, but odds are (pun intended) those that determine the lines have some kind of insider somewhere. Not likely an actual person hired by the university, but someone who gets a little kick back for tidbits that can influence the line to help Vegas predict where the money will go.

UK should and will win this game, IMO. No problem with that opening point spread, although I'm not much a bettor. Seems consistent with most analytical engines.

The opening lines on oddshark can swing very heavy by the time the big books release their lines in a few hours. I'm expecting Arkansas -2

I feel like it’s required in pro sports with mandated injury reports pre game. These are required by leagues. Not so in college athletics, but probably will be in a few years.

You'd think so.

The difference in the LSU and Bama lines from KP to Vegas was about 3 points. I assumed Arkansas would be a 1 point favorite.

My only guess is maybe they saw what we did without our two starters in the last two games and didn't adjust downward as much.

Either that or the conspiracy people will say Vegas knows Tyty and Wheeler are playing lol

After speaking to Sacramento Cat on the phone, we concur that Arkansas is to win easily. Take it to the bank. Not even gonna watch the game.

Everyone put all your money on Arkansas if you care about Kentucky.
It’s good to see someone else who knows how this works! It’s pretty simple actually, “Vegas” would never put up money where they don’t have built in advantages. It’s actually laughable to think otherwise.

I think it is always tough to win at Arkansas, but i didn’t realize how weak their non conference schedule was and how they have mostly played the weaker teams in the SEC so far. I know they beat Auburn, but man their schedule is atrocious. I think it will be tough to win without Ty Ty or Wheeler, but it wouldn’t shock me if they get the W, even without those two. Staying out of foul trouble and limiting turnovers are the key. If they do those two things, good chance to come away with a victory.

Yes, the OOC schedule was weak, and the early part of the SEC was against the bottom of the SEC, but the last 5 games of the season is where it gets serious. So far, so good, 2-0 from those, with another big test tomorrow.

They have had the 2nd easiest schedule in the SEC so far. Only Auburn's was easier.

What site? Vegas insider hasn’t posted their Saturday lines yet.

Odds shark still has UK -2.5
If you scroll left/right on the table you can see the other books. Two of them have Arkansas -2.5. I'm not positive but I think the oddshark opening line is computer generated

No way Kentucky can be favored in this one even full team. Arky has to be favored just the way it has to be because you can't assume the guys are playing and if they are they would be 100%.

Arky should be favored by at least 2 if both guys are out should be by 4.

Odds minnow more like it they are way off you should be pounding Arkansas on that line then come back and bet on Kentucky when they are +2.5 and you almost get a freeroll of 5 point window minus the vig of course
