After a drubbing at the hands of bowl-bound Michigan at the Big House, the Cats finish out the season hosting the Illini at Wrigley Field. The Illini have faltered during the season, but clearly look like the better team coming in. The Cats meanwhile need work in all phases. It looks like Abe's Hat will be going into exile.

Braun benches Lausch early, Kirtz goes off for 200 yards and 3 TDs… and the Cats finally win at Wrigley to qualify for a bowl game at 5-7. 🏈

LuuuuuuJAN calls all message board geniuses - especially @corbi296 - “Loooo”sers is his postgame analysis on WGN. 😂

Derrick Gragg will also sing “Take me Out to the Ballgame” even better than Harry Carey on his most sober day. 🎵

And despite the color, I seriously doubt I’ll be able to abstain from day 3 of pumpkin pie.

Bert has done a good job. He doesn’t have a lot of talent, but he gets it to pull the rope the same direction. We stay close for a quarter and then give up a TD at the end of the half (like we always do). Bert takes the opening drive of the second half for a 6 play 75 yard TD Drive ( like we always give up) Game over. Bert still pissed from last year, piles it on with 3 unnecessary scores in the 4th quarter. 41-10 and we can thankfully say only 1 more year at that Dump called Wrigley Field.

Man, I dread having to watch another abysmal performance by Lujan’s offense. Our players deserve better. Prove me wrong PLEASE. The biggest question is if we can keep them under 40. And if we can keep RH on the bench.

As always, I’ll be rooting 110% for the Cats, but it’s been a rough season to say the least.
