So, are we there yet ?$40 million is the minimum buy-in just to have a shot at being a contender.
Nobody knows what we spend...or what anyone else spends really. I settled on the $40 million b/c that's in the range of the NIL numbers you hear thrown about most often for the big programs, though all are unconfirmed. So, are we there yet ?
Everything I've seen says were are $30-35M. Throwing money doesn't automatically make you a contender. So, are we there yet ?

I doubt we are that high. Nobody knows though.
I would guess we're in the mid to upper 20s.I agree, nobody knows. Whatever it is, it isn't the pittance some think it is.

Mid 20s is what I’ve seen.I would guess we're in the mid to upper 20s.
Not throwing money at NIL guarantees you won’t be!!Everything I've seen says were are $30-35M. Throwing money doesn't automatically make you a contender.
Get ready boys.
Bradford and Shurburtt quote these figures regularly on their morning show too from The Athletic piece that came out a month ago fwiw. Shurburtt has good sources close to the program and concurs with the low to mid $30M range as our NIL payroll.Everything I've seen says were are $30-35M. Unless it is some generational talent I would skip high school recruiting altogether and focus on the portal. Let people like dabs spend the time and money developing players, then buy the good ones that work out away from him later. If this is true, it still leaves the big question of how Dabo will spend the money.
As I understand, he still wants to focus on recruiting highsschoolers and keeping them around for "development". As opposed to going out and rebuilding each year.
Even a large influx of cash would still mean he's starting over with this freshman class. And its results won't be immediate.
