Come on man, if it was only that simple. If you go out of Peacock to say watch your DirectTV or cable provider during a timeout, halftime or whatever, then you say ok now I’ll go back into Peacock. Grab the tv remote that has the input button as it’s a different remote than my DirectTv remote, find the right input, select Peacock and click on it, wait for it to load, sit and wait while a circle spins on the screen for it to load, continue to wait, ok, now it’s loaded, then work your way through the Peacock menu, find Sports, go thru sports find Rutgers game, click on it, sit and wait and watch the circle spin again while it loads, now the game is on my screen, oh wait, why is it blurry, oh yeah it’s buffering, ok buffering is done and now it’s good to go. Wait? What? How many steps was that…..did I just miss 2 minutes of game time?Never freezes for me & one click on the input button & channel is changed
Yeah, what gives with that crap?Unlikely I'll watch either of them.
But streaming in general and all streaming apps are an utter and complete total pain in the ***!
for NCAA tournament its incredibleDo none of you guys have YOUTUBETV where you can watch 4 games at once, set up your 4 team grid with whomever is playing, and then just jump between them at will? THAT streaming service has that. So don't say none do.
Can I watch a Peacock game on YouTube TV or have access to my Peacock account through YouTube TV? I don’t have YouTube TV so I wouldn’t have a clue, but I assume I have to exit YouTube TV, select Peacock, and go through the whole rigmarole to now go into Peacock. Streaming in general blows as far as the going into the app, then exiting and then going into another app. The description of YouTube TV sounds promising, I may have to look into it. I can watch multiple games at once on Direct TV but throw that out the window when a game is on Peacock.Do none of you guys have YOUTUBETV where you can watch 4 games at once, set up your 4 team grid with whomever is playing, and then just jump between them at will? Bingo! That’s why streaming sucks, unfortunately the new normal for sports viewing and only going to increase in the future. The picture quality is really good when I watch a streamed sport on Peacock, no issues with the broadcast and the quality, probably better than my DirectTv.Peacock nothing to do with YouTube TV, different platform have to exit and enter again etc, sucks to jump around
Yes! I do this early in the season when football and hoops games are sometimes on at the same time. Hoops on my iPad, football on TV.Just set up one or more of your multiple other connected screens with a different game. You could have a tablet with 4 games on YoutubeTV and RU game on TV. Or vice versa. And you don't even have to touch a remote.
I only have one remote & when I click the input button I go from Peacock directly to whatever channel I was watching last on cable, usually BTN, & then can reverse it with one click back to peacock, using verizon fios.Come on man, if it was only that simple. The point being hitting one button on my DirectTv remote is a hell of lot simpler. The actual broadcast and picture quality are great when I watch on Peacock. Everything I described above is why I don’t jump around and watch anything else when Rutgers is on Peacock. But streaming in general and all streaming apps are an utter and complete total pain in the ***!
We have Fios. It’s terrible. Freezes often. It’s your WiFi. I’ve never had an issue.
And the tv picture is far superior to BTN
I've got Fios. Mine never freezes. We have Fios. It’s terrible. Freezes often.
Yours may be more simple than mine, but even when you reverse back to peacock I am sure you may also have to wait for it to load, find the game inside peacock, click on it, wait for it to buffer, etc.. I know I sound like a total get off my lawn guy, but the more technology that comes into our lives it does not always make our lives easier or better. Someone suggested well, just watch RU on TV and then have your TV on your IPad? Oh great, the solution is to introduce more technology and a completely additional device into my life as the solution.I only have one remote & when I click the input button I go from Peacock directly to whatever channel I was watching last on cable, usually BTN, & then can reverse it with one click back to peacock, using verizon fios.

Simply changing a channel is a hell of a lot easier to execute, physically and mentally. I have streaming subscriptions, probably way more than I need or should have, so it’s not like i don’t stream. I watch movies and binge watch streaming series all the time. I just don’t like it for sports and there is no way anyone can tell me it’s better than conventional sports watching and just changing channels that we are all accustomed to doing.
No it goes right back to what I was previously watching on Peacock, no searching or bufferingYours may be more simple than mine, but even when you reverse back to peacock I am sure you may also have to wait for it to load, find the game inside peacock, click on it, wait for it to buffer, etc.. So true, I feel like such an old man ranting about it but I don’t see how anyone thinks it’s great to have to go into Big 10 plus to watch something, then into espn plus for another game, then peacock for another game all just to watch three different games on the same night. I love watching Big 10 basketball but I find myself only watching on Big 10 network and FS1 during the week, I never go into Peacock to watch the other games as the app for sports is just out of sight and out of mind for me. I don’t miss an RU game so I go on Peacock for those, but not the rest of the Big 10 games. I like to flip channels, maybe I watch FS1, maybe flip to espn, flip to Big 10 network, maybe flip to some news, maybe I watch for the 30th time Goodfellas, or The Departed or Shawshank Redemption or Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on TNT or whatever channel if they are randomly on (all great movies that you just pick up and watch if they are on). That’s the beauty of channel flipping, sometimes something is on that I randomly end up watching that I didn’t realize I actually wanted to watch, if that makes sense.Streaming sucks, in general, as finding anything is a pain in the *** and one can't just flip around between channels one knows well, like on a cable system. Going from a game on one platform to a game on another takes like 10 clicks/windows, as opposed to simply hitting "last channel" on a cable system. Having said that, when RU is on, I don't flip channels so it's not an issue. Bill Maher did a great rant on what a pain streaming is for sports.

I'm a serial flipper, lol. But I love the randomness and serendipity of just stumbling upon some really cool show or great old movie (the ones you listed are all-time greats) or entertaining sporting event. I'm the same way with music, where I love flipping through about 35 SiriusXM channels hoping to be pleasantly surprised by music from any one of a dozen genres of music and I still listen to terrestrial radio sometimes. I've never understood the appeal of just listening to stuff I already know well from a streaming service or my own collection. So true, I feel like such an old man ranting about it but I don’t see how anyone thinks it’s great to have to go into Big 10 plus to watch something, then into espn plus for another game, then peacock for another game all just to watch three different games on the same night. This is the good thing about Peacock. It's great. We don't have to worry about an earlier game going to OT and jumping around to another channel.
Zero concern about the game actually starting on time and being broadcast as expected.
This is the bad thing about Peacock. They don’t have a good option to start it mid game and catch up to live. I tried multiple times and it always freezes as you try to skip commercials. Not sure if this is intentional or just a crappy platform
