I mean they've been around a lot longer than the 1950's so, while I understand what youre saying and do believe our own tech influenced the UFO lore, it certainly wasnt the creator.

Go research the "Adam & Eve" theory on human civilization. People want to say it must have been aliens that created some of the wildest stuff we can't imagine our own people building. How could cavemen had ever came up with the technology to do that. Well there are thousands of examples across the globe of technology those old civilizations should have had no business building. Intricate walls shaped together using stones that are several tons in weight, from a region that is hundreds of miles from where those stones are from. The Adam and Eve theory is that our planet has had SEVEN different civilizations that have come and gone. They were eradicated due to the Earths core shifting and causing the magnetic fields in the Earth to reverse. They have shown how you can go to locations and literally watch the compass point the wrong direction because the magnetic field is remembered in the land mass that was moved. Same guy discussed how Atlantis was probably a very real and thriving city that was buried by the great flood (which somehow many religions cite). It is easily located where the Eye of the Sahara is now. That is Atlantis. His story on that is pretty cool to listen to . I probably butchered the theory, but it is VERY interesting to take a deep dive into. Not sure how I got on that tangent. The "UFO's" are likely drones sent by our own government. That is my theory.
Theres a dude I watch on YouTube who travels to Egypt a lot. A lot of his stuff is about how their building works seemed to get WORSE as the years went on. As if the earlier periods had tech the later did not. Interesting stuff.
Some guy was discussing what you just wrote. In his video, he was talking about how the locals give tours showing how the rock was cut using chisels and hammers. They let the tourists bang on the rocks and literally not even dust is created they are so hard. The guy said it was almost laughable they wanted people to believe that is the method used to cut very intricate cuts into nearly impenetrable rock with chisels and hammer. He was definitely a believer that there was far better technology in the past that we lost somehow.
