Temple is not so impressive statistically. UConn shoots better FG% (46 vs. 43) and better 3 point % (36 vs. 33), while Temple is a bit better on FT% shooting (74 to 70). I see this as being a tight game.

Vegas Insider has the line on this game as Temple -4. Should be a close one and I look for UConn to cover.

UConn really needs Jalen to get his act together for the next couple games especially with Gilbert expected to again be out and not ready until the Memphis game. Jalen is underachieving and leaving points on the table. No reason for him to have 4-5 single digit scoring games but what is really killing UConn is the lackadaisacal defense and allowing himself to get beat off the dribble. He needs to help the team on D

Fake news if I ever read it...these guys don't miss even with a hand in their face.... on the other hand Uconn sucks, except Cobb, so you know they got problems , because they ain't playing ECU tonight ...SMH!

Brendan Adams and Sid Wilson missed a bunch of open shots. Unfortunately those are the shots that are being taken in lieu of Jalen’s shots. It’s disapponting.

On a positive note rebounds are 25-23 UConn at the moment.

Played a good 2nd half...especially pounding it inside with a real 4 and 5 ( Cobb and Carlton ) on the court. It's been so long I forgot what it looks like when you have 2 bigs on the court that can rebound ( is there a 4 in the country softer than Polley ?) . Maybe it will wake DH up to the possibilities....that non-small ball can create..SMH

PS- Polley ...1 reb in 29 mins

Yeah those 2 were killers and Wilson's lack of BB IQ destroyed any chance they had when they went on that mini run, midway through the 2nd half.

Both Carlton and Vital had 18 points and 13 boards and Cobb 13 and 5, enabling UConn to win the boards decisively 41-30 despite the Polley 1 rebound effort. Unfortunately UConn was badly outshot. 4-18 on 3s isn’t going to get it done. I think if Jalen and AG played, this game would have been much closer than it was.

Temple had announced that it was Meme night and on their Twitter they photoshopped a Meme of a shocked UConn fan. Blades, is this supposed to be you?

"He is too happy-go-lucky for his own good sometimes. He starts too many games sluggishly. And in a desperate effort to make up for it will commit turnovers and other mental errors......Suddenly, all the complaining about Adams’ play turned into what, in heaven’s name, will it be like without him? "
