A friend of mine whose a UCLA grad and big supporter said they are willing to spend up to $10 million per year, they are talking rumors about Calipari. Said a few Billionaire booster are tired of losing. Hopefully they don't get Hoiberg. He did say Hoiberg is a midwesterner and would not be cultural fit at UCLA.

There are reports that Hoiberg is already assembling his staff and has been contacting prospective recruits. He’s coming here. If he doesn’t, this may end up being one of the biggest troll jobs ever.
And if for some reason he doesnt take it, Ty Lue is surprisingly interested in the NU job too. His agent called Moos about the job, but Moos and FH have been talking since February.

For 10 million a year they could get Calipari and Hoiberg. I don't think we have to worry much.

There are three coaches in the entire country who make more than $5 million. But yeah, UCLA is going to shell out $10 mil.

This is why we should never trust the media, but remember that boosters never, ever exaggerate.

I don't know in my opinion I think there waiting for Gonzaga to be done in the tourney and go hard after Few.

Well I have no friend who told me this, but my guess is there in no chance in hell Few goes to UCLA. He gets everything he wants with the Zags. That and Bruin fans have such unbelievable expectations I don’t think they are going to be happy with any coach they get. I think any coach who goes there better ask for at least $10 million per year because Bruin Gold will soon be calling for his head. The new guy is only going to be the 10th coach since John Wooden retired.

Why not pay $10 million a year for a coach? We already know the movie/TV stars are willing to pay $500,000 just to get their spoiled brats into an elite school. The money they can throw around is incredible in California. Laughing

Good point, I don't expect anyone to believe this, as I don't really believe in the $10 per year + upfront contract buyout. Just relaying what I'm told by UCLA people. I would put it less than par with any rumors re: Hoiberg to Nebraska .

I would love to see Lue get into the college ranks and coach some. Then when Hoiberg is done at NU have Lue take over if he is successful.

Boy am I glad this Hoiberg thing is over with now and he’s officially our Head Coach. No more worries about him going elsewhere or sources or any of that crap. Us Huskers can’t get it any better then this, Moos a few years ago, Frost last season and Hoiberg this season. We need to give our HCs time and let them do their thing. We are in great hands now.

And I assume when Cook retires he will get the Illinois HC with Husker ties to keep the womens VB team rolling. GBR!!

That would be beastly as well. Keep loading them right back up. Our Blue blood volleyball team SHOULD be good for decades to come. ;)
