Even though the UCF defense has struggled at times this year, I wish the Nebraska defense played with the same intensity and attitude.
Doesn't matter. Same rules apply for all plays. You can't blindside a player on a kick or punt return either.
Personally I hate the rule because I delivered more than my fair share of those and loved every minute of it. But it used to be legal.
No different than the hit that Eric Martin (Caveman) put on the punter that vilified him the rest of that season and the next as being a dirty player. BTW, I thought both hits were on the bubble, but legal.

yet..... these ARE the same guys who continually get NO respect from the AP and the polls......

It wasn’t close to targeting. It WAS targeting. And with a foot on the first down marker out of bounds..that’s easily established out of bounds and Brandon Moore launched after the fact. Doesn’t matter what YOU call it. Rules are rules.
they called the hit out of bounds, and it wasn't targeting. If Burrow wanted to stay out of the play he shouldn't have been running toward the ballcarrier.
The only people who think that hit was illegal are UCF haters. If a Nebraska player did it, we would be celebrating it. UCF player does it, he and his QB should be taken out. 
Actually it doesn't matter what anyone calls it. It matters what the officials call it.
and if it wasn't for the fumble and the kick return, LSU woudl be in trouble.
Teams have to make plays.. Who knew?
You would have to think that the LSU defense would eventually get settled..
Hate to give credit to an SEC team. But that stat about LSU being down 7 defensive starters prior to this game. Depth, depth, depth. Can't wait until we have that much.
Mack might be good, but he's not a completed project at QB yet. Rattled by pressure and has missed throws
IMO, A Martinez is much better at this stage for this offense
....I think the last 21 teams that lost to UCF probably said or thought the same thing.....Laughing

With all these hits to qbs, it's quite comical that nebraska got flagged for a hand grazing the helmet when being blocked into the QB .
This crew seems to not see things UCF does. He was hit in the head while in the pocket too.
In addition to the grab of his face by the linebacker just prior to the targeting. Neither called.
