Why is Central Florida even in the discussion for the College Football Final Four?

Yes, UCF is 7-0. Very nice. But Central Florida has NOT beaten a team with a winning record this season?

And, except for Pitt, a 4-4 disaster in the ACC, all the opponents are Little Five teams OR LOWER (South Carolina State)!

UConn 1-7
South Carolina State 3-5
Florida Atlantic 3-5
Pitt 4-4
Southern Methodist 3-5
Memphis 4-4
East Carolina 2-5

There’s NO other team that would be mentioned for a Football Final Four with that resume. So why UCF? Tossing them a bone because you know Central Florida will never get in?

Just think. We could be in that league if not for the Big 12.

A shudder shook my body when I read your post. Thank God for Oliver Luck and his Big 12 contacts!!!!

Temple scored 34 on Central Florida in the first half tonight. Even if UCF comes back to win, there is NO credibility to even having it #12.

There are several times ranked beyond Central F. by the committee that would feast on UCF.

Their defense looks like it’s being coached by Joe Deforest.

You sound like the Tenn fans on volnation before we played them. They count recruiting stars..........cute.

But a lot of those players quit at UTjr.

UCF has the advantage of rising during a down period of Houston between coaches.
Houston is clearly the class of the AAC because of talent and more so because of resources.
Plus they are the only AAC school with a winning record against P5 since the AAC started
SMU and Houston still behave as if they are SWC conference schools and unlike USF and UCF they have posed a threat to the bigger schools in their state.

If Ed Oliver plays in the AAC championship Game he will go in dry on Milton and UCF.

Kinda reminds me of Nehlen’s 1988 schedule

UCF hasn't lost a football game in 23 months..............

which is why they deserve to be in the discussion for the Playoffs. They went undefeated last season and look like they will accomplish the feat yet again.

You can't leave a program out like that 2 years in a row if they've swept the competition. See: Boise St 2006.
