We (UCF) is good with the hire but STOKED about the Shannon hire. Chins was getting bad..really bad. We wanted him out regardless of Frost. So we are happy with a familiar name here in Florida and a guy that has a good recruiting background in the state.

Shannon is certainly a home run for you guys

Walter will probably follow Frost Now I am guessing. Wonder if Frost will still coach in the bowl game now.

I'm not sure he'd be welcome back after offering some of their committed recruits

Fans are split. We want to beat Auburn and some feel Frost calling plays gives us our best chance. The reality is, no one is really preparing a game plan for Auburn right now. We're gonna have to wing it anyway. The deck is so stacked against us, it's ridiculous.

Don't sell him short on being able to game plan against Auburn. He'll have your team ready to play. Auburn is tough though. You do realize they just beat Bama? Good heavens, not many teams have enough talent to do that and Malzahn is a good coach.

We're counting on them not taking us or the game seriously like Baylor did in the Fiesta bowl and getting stunned by our athleticism and speed. AAC teams, especially in Florida, are not MAC teams from Ohio and Michigan.

That's about all we got right now.

Would the staff and fans even want him back?

To be the coach in the bowl game? IDK mixed reaction with most saying no. He gives us the best chance to win but probably best for both sides if he doesn't and move on. But than again we have no coaches. I do know the assistances are being paid through the bowl game so they could come back. Just stinks to be playing such a high profile team and to have the lack of prep time. Chins will make no difference.

As for Scott he was really emotionally tied to these guys and they were to him as well. He left on a high and its better for him to move on and to not pull on those heart strings anymore. He related to these guys better than any coach I seen around here.

I am wondering how much Auburn is going to really care about this game. They went from thinking they are going to play in the playoffs to playing a AAC team. My guess is their motivation is going to be zero. I think UCF will have an easier time than they think
