Conference standings are everything now. No at-large. Glad Temple lost.

Possibly.
I see 2 more losses for sure.
Maybe 3.

I don't see us going 3-3 our last 4 games. We have a very weak set of teams in our last six games. Unless the players just completely lose faith, I see us going 6-0 to 4-2. My guess is 5-1 or 4-2.

We’ve had the typical midseason slump very late. We will be very lucky to win 4 the next 6 games unless something changes.
Which, hasn’t happened in four years or however long Konkol’s been here.

I still can't see us doing any worse than 4-2, but maybe I have too much faith in the players banding together.

Our only hope is them ending together. It’s a typical tough situation with our coach.
Do they say F – him and decide to win it on their own. Much like our last NIT championship team did to Peterson.

Or, does Konkol figure out his poor coaching patterns and work to adjust them?

I do not see either happening at this point.
If it does, I will be all about the apologies and into the celebrations.

I've already eaten crow on how good Behrend would be this year. :ROFLMAO: Some coaches as nice as they may be, are just not in-game adjustment coaches, That and the ability to fire up your players with loud near obscenities but still being respected by your players walks a fine line. That's where your Bill Self and Kelvin Sampson type coaches are the best. If Houston's players are not at 100% rebounding, you see it instantly with Kelvin. Konkol is just a really nice guy.

These threads are always fascinating, when we win it’s the players, when we lose it’s the coach.
The way I perceive it in this instance is it was both. People are addressing how the players seemed to be losing faith in the coach as well. It was the players, the coach, and how they interacted, or didn't. A game where they should have everything to fight for, and didn't.

I can promise you the players aren’t losing faith in the coach, that’s after speaking with several, not sure where that’s coming from.

With this team, more than any other Tulsa team I’ve seen(except maybe 2001), this is actually the case. We have better players than almost anyone on our schedule. Most of our offense is individual effort and hitting tough shots with a hand their face. Konkol gets credit for player development and team chemistry, but going into most games we are at a disadvantage when it comes to in-game decision making, and defense and rebounding are always a reflection of the coach.
