3 of whom played the entire game. That is so weak. Press that team and we win. Simple. Only 2 guys score on that team and u can't stop either one. Take one out of the game, shut one down u win. Make layups when ur 7' and u win. No excuse to lose that came other than ur just not that good.
Coaching. That’s my excuse

Yeah it's coaching that couldn't stop Peyton Willis from 30 feet with a hand in his face
No but it is coaching that we had Harper and Geo out at the same time, and that we are confused against a zone, and that the players weren’t motivated to play for the first 7 minutes, that we have 27 out of bounds plays and don’t run any of them, and that we slowed the game down when they had 7 scholarship players.

Tip your hat to Willis but we didn’t play well at all especially in the first half and that’s on the players and the coaches…both

I always crack up when people say that these players need all this rest. They are 18-21 year old exceptional athletes ..Real players are capable of very good efforts playing many minutes. Some people don’t get that.

Marcus Carr used to play almost the entire game for them every time as well. We couldn’t wear down a team with 7 scholarship players and three od their best missing. Of course, we played a slow down game which played right into their hands.
I always crack up when people say players don’t need rest. It’s not play ground basketball. If you can go w/o rest means you are not playing hard enough. Ron Harper probably could play another 30 min.

We'll apparently our guys do, as the substitutions come frequent and often. You would think if Pike doesn't substitute every 3 mins. one of our players may keel over and die.

The problem with Rutgers on the road is that Baker and Harper are the only players that can be depened on to score in double digits .In this game Harper missed consecutive three pointers at crunch time and for other parts of the game he was a non factor on offense. The corrective action is to recruit better players that can create and make shots off the dribble like Willis did today.Nexr seasons roster is scary without major upgrades from the transfer portal.

A scorer in the portal is a given in my mind

I don't even want to think about our offense next year.

Vs
6'4 Geo Baker, 6'7 Paul Mulcahy, 6'7 Caleb McConnell
6'6 RHJ, 6'11 Cliff Omoruyi

Pikiell knew the starting lineup, saw that they were playing a big frontline 4/5 all but 3 minutes and made ZERO adjustment to alter what they did on the floor or their lineup once. Paul needed to play 40 minutes to constantly break their zone defense and Dean/Cliff needed help up front by being on the floor together with more size to matchup against 7'0, 6'9 4/5, Pike handed Minnesota a mismatch all game 7'0 vs 6'6 RHJ and 6'6 Hyatt at the 4, the team looked off balance and unprepared all game, why neither adjustment happened is a Coaching blunder like Lafayette bad. Sometimes you throw your game plan out and have to match up the looks your opponent gives you on offense and defense. It's not like they gave you different looks, they rammed the same 5 players, and same defenses down your throats that you didn't figure out.
