Diallo has no offense except for driving the ball...and this isn't tuff competition.... A reason why he came back.
If we are talking about shooting add Knox into that mix. What is weird is PJ has nice looking J but his free throws are pretty average.
Canada is also VERY well coached. I've watched all their games and that coach has implemented some great offensive and defensive plays all tournament

US team also appeared flat. Cal's teams are generally motivated. Bad loss.
His game is defense , put backs , rebounds , driving and mid range jumpers . His weakness is anything beyond 15 feet. Which is fine with the team we have. Diallo will be a top 3-5 SG in college from day 1 .

That's actually normal. USA has always been a juggernaut in these events so what is here to say when you are blowing teams out every single game? No different than the Olympics in which it becomes so redundant that you only watch a half because you know the outcome. But when their is a MAJOR upset of course there will be more talking. Yeah the defensive effort was very surprising. Kids would drive and the players would just watch them or if they did defend they would make a low basketball IQ foul. Line ups should have been different but I understand why Cal did it, gotta look towards the future with the recruits and play you're guys more since that's who is going to war with you when the season starts. Every blue blood coach would do the same
This will hurt recruiting and will ramp up the "Cal is not a good bench coach" talk. We should never, ever lose to Canada.
Trying to think of some top 5 sg in college who struggled shooting through the years. Right now he's a more athletic/explosive Archie Goodwin. Are we factoring in college view or potential NBA view as far as top Sg?

Needs to be remembered that a lot of the best U19 players sat this one out over concerns about playing in Egypt. This was kind of the B team.
