Seems redundant with Kam Williams, if he returns.
i think it all depends on (1) if we land stokes and (2) how pope plans to use him.

lots of comparisons to cade cunningham. so if put the ball into stokes hand as a play maker, do you surround him with williams and riley to make shots and finish plays?

or

do you play him as an undersized PF and would still need a PG and SF to go with williams.

i think a lot depends on what stokes decides

We seem to have a lot of 6-7th men
I actually believe we are in good shape to have a more competitive squad next season. We will have the full picture in 2 weeks or so but I believe most will be surprised on how good we do once the portal opens. We have a good chance at way too many top available options, its all about which ones we end up with for me but we should end up preseason top 10 and Popes best team yet. Of course that happens and it practically ensure Pope finishes his contract before we get to move on but that is what I see happening.

I’m digging your positivity, I hope you’re right, I would love to put the ball in Stokes hands and surround him with shooters that can set picks, back cut, shoot and rebound. You know, basketball stuff but at a high level!

We don’t have an obvious top 2 player for an elite team on the roster. That’s the crux.

The chances we actually sign a player who was elite, All American level this year in the portal will be slim. Most of those guys are out of eligibility or entering the draft. In all likelihood, we will rely on a player who was good to very good taking a leap. Hopefully we can find the players primed to make the jump.

We lost 3 starters to injury, players playing out of position and our best player never played 5 games. Quit making things up.
JQ didn’t even start 3 of those games. And now the excuse is up to 3 starters? Wow. I feel like before long you will cry all 8 starters were sick.Kam started like 3 games when he was experimenting with lineups because he couldn’t figure out how to put his square pig in the round while he created. Worst 2 year start since BGC.

Here are his stats ... fwiw ... 12.2 ppg in 31.8 minutes of clock.
This guy isn’t replacing Oweh. Yeah, average is 12 points a game and a crappy conference that’s not Oweh who could bully his way to the basket he just in total if it weren’t for Oweh we don’t make the tournament the last two years. Defense offense for the college game he could use his physicality to get things done. That’s gonna be difficult to replace.

I agree. To my view, his stats are Chandleresque, at best.
