Pope should go try to poach Ulis from Cal for the other Asst Coach position.

I don’t see that happening. Regardless of how you feel about Cal he was very good to Ulis after his accident. Then brought him on his staff. To much loyalty which I understand.
I think that kind of stuff oftentimes goes overlooked by fans.
I understand the loyalty factor but Brad Calipari is ahead of him in the Arkansas hierarchy. You'd be giving him an official asst coaching job with a significant jump in salary. I think it's something that would make a good push for him to come back. He's been under Cal and been on a college bench for a few years now.
Yeah that's what we need, some other unaccomplished former player as a coach.

Pope needs to hire Jaxson Robinson who is spinning his wheels making minimum G-league pay and is reportedly very good at teaching players what Pope wants. Because clearly no one else is.
We should probably introduce them to each other first.
Ulis is a top5 favorite player.. and maybe my favorite guard under Cal. But I dont really understand the obsession with trying to get him here as a coach. Do we know if he is honestly any good at the coaching level? And does he even have real ties to UK as opposed to having stronger ties with Cal?
