We have to win the conference. It's tough not to give it to the guy averaging 19, 12, and 5 on the team currently in 1st place.

Tyler is my favorite PG of all-time at UK. He's the epitome of what you want in your PG to the exceptional degree. To me his best play today was after making a turnover he makes a steal then calmly throws a 35-40 foot oop to Lee. Nailing the door shut on any hopes the Gamecocks may have had in making a game of it.

I feel confident saying Tyler is Cal's best PG and in contention for one of UK's best PGs ever. He's a better PG than Wall was when he was here. He should be an all-American and the POTY frontrunner.

Needed someone to step up? How about Tyler Ulis. Career highs in points (27) and assists (12).

Payne: "The story is Tyler Ulis."

Kenny Payne: "I never touched on offense. Didn't have to. Between Tyler Ulis and Cal, they're on the same page."

Coaches gave me the green light to call my own plays. - Ulis

Seriously, is there any pg in college the last 5+ years that is better?
What previous pg would you take over Ulis? I don't want to start a huge discussion on it but come on, project him through his senior year and tell me there has ever been a better pg, as a sophomore, for UK. I can't think of anyone I would take before Tyler. He gets better every game. Kid blows me away.

Not only the 12 assists, but only the 1 turnover. One turnover, 37 minutes, 85%(est.) of the time with the ball in his hands
That one turnover ended up being a halfcourt alley oop with an and-one because Tyler hustled and got it right back.

In retrospect we were lucky Mudiay didn't come here or we would never have gotten Ulis.

Ullis having a better season than Wall by a mile, but he's not getting the same recognition for All American because of a lack of NBA draft hype.

Mudiay is one of my favorite non-UK players just for this reason alone.

Don't think Mudiay would have been fine backing up Andrew last year, nor would he likely still be around and who knows what our PG situation would look like. Probably Briscoe, who, while decent, isn't a great PG.

Tyler is playing as well right now as any PG I can remember at UK.

Give Tyler Ulis the same team Wall had and I truly believe we would have another title banner hanging in Rupp. He would have drilled threes and carved up that stanky West Virginia zone defense.

The best PG to play at UK in my 50 years as a fan.

Been a fan for about the same amount of time... also can't think of anyone better than him over that span. If he would happen to stay 4 years.. no doubt in my mind he would re-write the UK records books.

In the Calipari era, Wall was really, really good, but he didn't conduct the offense like Ulis...

maybe the shortest all-american team ever but he deserves the pg spot. he just does. he's also our mvp. that stat about him contributing 45% of our offense is crazy. 12 assists today and it was still true again even though we scored 89 lol. that % actually went up slightly. amazing. he's a great basketball player, and a great leader for this kentucky team. he should be an all-american. first team.

Best game of the year from him was today in my opinion. His passing was incredible

Great assessment. I think I agree! [thumb2]
