wouldn't be a rebound. It wouldn't be anything in the stat column. It's basically just another dribble.

no it only counts as a rebound if it's clearly a shot. If someone passes the ball off the backboard, it's easy to tell that's not a shot.

Oh haha. Well same thing goes. I know I've heard someone say that it doesn't count as a rebound when you pass to yourself off the backboard and that it's really nothing more than an extra dribble essentially. I mean it's pretty clear that an underhanded lob pass off the backboard isn't a shot. It'd be stupid to count it as one.
