meh, he's filthy rich. He hasn't even spent his first million. He's got way more than million (people seem to forget).

If you have money, if you saving money appropriately, then how much he spends on really doesn't matter. No one says "this is how much you can spend on a car". It's usually just broken down to "this is how much you should save, this is how much you should spend on housing/living expenses, etc.".

To be honest, i don't believe he broke it down accurately. 10k on dining...don't believe it.
Too much, too little on dining? You can easily spend 10k on eating out in a years time.

Meh, he’s killing it so far. He already has a guaranteed multi year contract worth like $14 million and he will absolutely get another multi million $ contract in a few years.

He’s splurging a little but he’ll be aight.

He will be lucky to bring home 50% of that money due to agent fees, taxes, etc

There’s no income tax in the state of Florida. Outside of an agent’s fee I really don’t know what else would be taken out. Agents typically receive a 4% fee on NBA contracts. This also doesn’t include endorsement money.

Most of stuff he bought has $$ value.
Apartment must be exclusive with security for celebrity.
$200K for Mom/Dad is admirable.
I see nothing, aside from maybe the MB, that will appreciate in value.

Dude needs a financial advisor big time.

Presuming he doesn't become injured. Even $14 million, which sounds like a lot, can be spent away very quickly.

IF he hasn't invested this money he may wind up selling insurance one day.

Federal income tax. What about a shoe contract, he probably has one or will have one.

State income taxes are 6 7 8 in general so Florida being no tax is not huge. Uncle Sam does not pass on taking a bite. 35%+. Sales tax on everything he purchases. Another 6%. He easily could have nearly half taken by other entities.

Or he may not lol? Selling insurance one day? Cmon that’s silly.

Don’t hate. Herro is a good dude with a good head on his shoulders. Smart, good family. He will be fine. He currently has a net worth of about $10 MILLION $ and (barring injury...) will probably get at least a $50 million contract in 2 years.

If he is prone to lose sunglasses like I do then he should have just thrown it into the trash.

My maximum sunglasses budget is $5 and will remain that way for life.

I broke a pair of fancy Oakleys diving for a fly ball in high school. College me lost a pair of Raybans on campus. Adult me drunkenly donated an expensive pair of Oakleys to the bottom of Lake Cumberland.

Lake Cumberland has eaten a lot of sunglasses, car keys, etc.

Let’s hope he has an honest and conscientious advisor. Too many pro athletes have spent needlessly without sound advice and ended up broke. All the clothes, cars and fancy jewelry seems to be from keeping up with the Joneses (NBA peer pressure).

He paying $20k for a private chef! Doesn’t eat out maybe all that often, but you guys are probably correct in that he spends more than 10k on eating out. Do the Heat provide meals on road trips?

he actually spent $10k on sunglasses (10 pair at $1k each), but he only spent $670k of the million. A few of you must have missed the part where he said the FIRST thing he did was hire a financial planner and put money up so he never has to worry about life after basketball. Read people, read, or listen. I had the CC on because I was at work. he is not blowing thru money, he just rewarded himself and his family when he made it big. Also, loved the bleacher Report deal called "Take it there with Taylor Rooks" She interviews him on a nice boat. it is a cool little feature they do with different players. the Ja Morant one is good, Chris Paul is also a good one, Shai is there at a bowling alley with Paul and Taylor Rooks. Check them out.

Hell yeah.

Got my most recent pair for $4 at dollar general. Pair before that came from Dollar Tree.

I only need them for driving and limited outdoor activities. My last Dollar Tree pair is wherever the Barren River goes. Fell off my hat bill while kayaking. There’s a reason I don’t get good ones. Lol.

The NCAA should allow athletes to attend "Life" classes that focus on such things. Doubt Tyler is silly enough to waste his money but look at how many athletes end up broke after their careers are over.

Herro is fortunately being very smart about it all. Already has hired a financial planner and has already put away enough money for him to live comfortably for the rest of his life even if he doesn’t make another dime. He will though. He’s got a net worth of about $12 million as we speak and will most assuredly get at least about $40-$60 million on his next contract in a couple years.

60K for clothes? 60K apartment? 200k for a car? That boy ain’t as bright as I though the was.
I can see clothes (image)...
I can see apartment (location/security)...

But the $200k car made me flinch a little.

Herro on a GQ sports series how spending there 1st million
Hint Herro didn't spend it all

He spent it just fine. He’s getting like $14 million guaranteed and he WILL get a nice sized 2nd contract.

He/his parents have a good head on their shoulders. He went a little crazy as all of us would. He will be perfectly fine.

While I agree with that, I also think about all the people hurting during This lock down and then to see someone spending money this way, when they could use that money to help people in need makes me feel sick to my stomach.
