Herro had 18 last game. Hard to get a rhythm when you're yanked in and out. None of our other guards have looked very good but aHerro is singled out? Why?
I think I know why but can't say.
Duke took the swagger away from this team (including Cal) and it is going to take a while to get it back.
In any event, by tournament time we will go as far as Herro and the other guards' shooting takes us.

He was great off the bench in the Bahamas. Not sure what Cal and staff are smoking, but they need to consider a new strain and starting lineup.

That has me puzzled as well. Herro thrived off the bench over the summer. I wonder what it was that Calipari saw that said he had to be in the starting lineup.

Herro does much more than score. He has great court awareness and can pass as good as anyone on the team. He also feeds the post better than our point guards. I am not worried about Herro

You know what they say. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Don't do this to yourself. He'll struggle all year, pull it together around SEC tournament time, make a few shots in the NCAA Tournament, and he'll be gone. This episode has been on repeat for 10 years now.

Hey, I'm fine with that too. For Herro to get drafted, at this point, means he has a big turn-around and he shoots 35%+ 3pt on the season (which means several games of "going off" to move on from 20%). He'd need to show good guard skills, better defense and more tenacity.. If he does those things, we win more games, he gets drafted/

For as much as guys like Wall, Davis and maybe EJ are NBA-ready regardless of the stats, Herro is not. He's not your typical Cal recruit. He's a 2-year guy minimum who will need to work harder than others too get his shot in the NBA.

Which year since 2015 was 38-1? Reading comprehension is your friend, not the enemy! :joy:
What questionable decisions? Having PJ miss all those ft's? Having the eventual NC hit a game winning shot in the NCAA year before last ? What are all those questionable calls.

He's neither as good as he was in the Bahamas and not nearly as bad as he's been as of late. We're four games into the season. PJ Washington was terrible the first part of last year, now he's our best player. Herro will be fine and I think will be an outstanding two year player.

Because for 4 games in a row Herro has looked like **** on defense. His one saving grace is that he seems to read the top of the key passes well and can get steals there for easy run-outs, but the rest of his D has been consistent garbage. It appears that if he isn't hitting his shot the rest of his game suffers. It's fair critique at this point. Why can't he he criticized again?
Disagree. Herro has been playing defense as well as anyone on the team.

Bahama's raised a lot of expectations, even mine.
Agreed. He averaged over 20 there and had 30+ in the blue white game. Seems like the longer he's in the system, the worse he gets. Losing confidence, I think.

He's worrying more about getting the ball inside and not enough on taking his open shots.

By all these posts it seems nobody sees the game the way you and I do. His defense was good tonight and he doesn't try to force anything. He will get where he needs to be as he gets more comfortable with these guys. I'm not worried either.

You seem to have reading difficulties. He said "since" 2015,

Do you not know what that means?
Yeah, I missed that. Still, what has that got to do with me asking for the questionable decisions? Since 2015 I mean. That ok with you?

I think Cal needs to go back to the starting lineup we used 3 of 4 games in the Bahamas. The team played much better on offense and defense! Something, has taken this team out of their game once he started messing with the lineup. Guess, Richards must be in the doghouse.

Right now, Herro is way too pass first, shoot second. He is only settling for a wide open set shot for the most part. He needs to be more aggressive... throw up a few more shots. If he is on, shoot more. If he is not on, pass more. Waaaaaay too passive right now.

Tyler gets very few open looks. Our offense is not set up to get open looks from three. Also, when he feeds the post, the ball is never reversed out back to him when he's open.
He's one of our better passers, and has a high BB IQ.
He'd be a star on any other team. If he were allowed to run our point, he'd be a lot better than what we currently have there.
He's a little foot-slow on defense, but then again, none of our guards are any better.
This is very true. Because we lack a true PG with break down penetrate and kick skills. That's what Tyler needs

Maybe Cal needs to go back to sitting in the stands like he did in the Bahamas.

One of my friends sits next to him, EJ, and Hagans. She said he seems very stressed and not confident. He made a comment about how its so hard to live up to UK fan's expectations and please them. I see Tyler about everyday and I can tell he has a different demeanor since the Duke game. He needs to come off the bench until he can work this out.

Why were we ever in the position that one players missed ft cost us the game? Why did he leave the Harrisons on the game against Wisconsin and play stall ball with 8 minutes to go? Why was he not able to get more pit of Skal? Why did we get bounced to an avg IU team in the 2nd rd? Why was the 16-17 team so ****** on D all year? Why did Luke Maye look like an allstar against us? How did we lose 3 in a row last year and not make it past the sweet 16 with a cakewalk to the final four? Why did we let JV/his handlers hold the team and fans hostage for half the year last year with his antics? Why did we get blown out by Duke? Why has the #2 pre season team looked like **** for 3 out of 4 regular season games and 2 preseason games? Why are we missing on top recruit after top recruit since 2014? Why do we have a losing record against top 25 teams since 2015?
lol, first you say you were talking about after 2015 and then bring up the Harrisons. Make up your mind. And for the millionth time, Booker was getting abused on defense and wasn't hitting shots. And Ullis wasn't playing that well either. You want to pull the guards that led you to 38 straight wins? And the guard that hit 3 of the biggest end of game shots the season before? Again, LOL.

None of the other crap you listed were "questionable decisions". Some of it has to fall on to the players themselves.

Lots of truth in what you said but, if you want to get the ball to KAT down low in a position to score, late in the game ... Ulis would get it to him. I believe the team, especially KAT, knew this.,

I think the expectations were just way too high and unfair. He will be a good player but just not Rex or Booker.
